Accountability: Key to Truthful Life and Integrity

Have you wondered why corrupt politicians and businessmen are looking for men and women of integrity to mann there offices and business empires? It's so because no corrupt politicians and businessmen wants to be defrauded by others.

This fact simply means that integrity is utmost in every relationship and business ventures we engage in. To be frank with you, most times they criticize your good acts and sometimes, you're tempted to join them in doing what's wrong, but little do you know that they also want to have integrity like you.

Does the above fact ring any bell in your ears. Have you been in such situations before or you're going through it now! Hold on to your stand of being a man or woman of integrity. The bible encouraged everyone to hold on to what they're doing by saying: let him that is just, continue to be just and let him that's unjust continue. What'll say is, only time will tell whether the corruption of the corrupt will pay them or the good deeds of the just will pay them.

Today, let's look at accountability and how it can help an individual live a truthful life and integrity.

What is accountability?
Simply put, accountability is standing for the truth through constant evaluation of oneself.

What this means is that there's a constant battle in one's mind on a daily basis to choose between what's right and wrong. Constant evaluation helps you keep yourself on check to know if you're considering to choose the wrong path from the right path you're standing on.

There two major people an individual is accountable to: God and man. You're accountable to God first because he created you and gave you a mandate to accomplish on earth.

Second, you're accountable to your fellow human beings. This angle of accountability is very crucial because your dealings is with man on a daily basis and the earlier you realize this fact the better. Let's take this for instance, most of us don't even know that peoples around us are watching us as the day goes by. This comes in all areas of our lives, you may think that anything counts in life but I tell you the truth, when it's time to make serious decisions about life and upliftment, your lifestyle will count.

Are you aware that everyday in that your office or workplace, you're being tested in many ways to know if you'll compromise. The earlier you know this the better for you and your journey to success.

Can a corrupt person change for better to be a person of integrity
This is the simplest part of my discussion, because change is a constant thing. Anybody can change, even the most corrupt man on earth, but there's a serious condition! Willingness to leave the past behind.

It should be noted that leaving the past behind comes with different consequences, which include, lack, discrimination as well as a low life.

Remember, Jesus told the man that said he wants to follow him, that he should go and give all his possessions to the poor and return all that he has extorted from people back to them.

Hope you know that every man born of a woman came out of their mother's womb as innocent as a dove but learnt corruption from the society they belong to.

I'll end this post by saying, no one lies to himself, so the best path to integrity is to be truthful to yourself and abide by that truth, which will lead you to the right path.

Integrity is good and enjoyable, though it can be criticized, discriminated, but it will payoff on the long run.
