What it takes to became a father
Being a father is not an easy experience, as a man becoming a father you have to be responsible because fatherhood is full of responsibilities. Fatherhood is not just impregnating a woman but taking full responsibility of the pregnancy till birth and training the child to become useful to the society. You don't need to be married to the woman that gave you a child before you take responsibility for it, in flirting and having fun with a woman, knowingly or unknowingly she may end up getting pregnant and because you think that you're not ready to become a father yet so you should leave the woman to suffer with the pregnancy and of course till birth? hell no.
In our society now, some men are just good in impregnating woman but can take responsibility for the training of the child after birth, and that's why we see many young boys and girls wasting their life away in hard drugs and doing all sorts of illegal job just for survival, because of the irresponsibility of the father. The scripture said " bring up a child in the ways of God, so that when he or she grows up he or she will not depart from it "
To my best of knowledge, the word Parent comprises of both man and woman that have a child or children together.
MISTAKES MOST MEN DO AS A FATHER
- Denying a pregnancy: Most Men are of the habit of impregnating a woman and deny it in the name of not ready to become a father. That is the first irresponsible step as a man. You have to consider the fact that something happened between you two, then nurture the pregnancy by taking care of the woman till she give birth.
- Leaving a woman after she must have given birth: it's better to deny been responsible for the pregnancy at the first place than running away when the woman have given birth already. When you leave a woman with her child when gave birth definitely you are giving that child a room for waywardness because that will end up growing without a father and that reason will engage his or herself in illegal act just to assist the mother. I have many cases like that.
Seeing my son play makes me remember when he was conceived, you need to see the happiness in me and that even triggered me to go and marry the mother properly, and now he's growing so fast. As a year and 2 months old it's still difficult to understand his wants and needs but for now he's basic needs are just good food then play and sleep. It is my duty as a father to provide for my wife and child that is the benefit of fatherhood.
I always check on my child, even when at work, everytime he sees me coming back from work he will ran to me even if he legs are still shaking on the ground but because of the happiness in him that he has a father he will jump down from any hand that's carrying him and ran to me. Ones I'm around he doesn't allow anyone else to carry him.
At this age, is when they capture anything they see or hear and that's why I don't speak odd things in his presence and I don't do anything that I know is wrong where he is, I always like teaching him how to read ABCD and count 1,2,3 and 4 and you'll always see him shouting it with a funny tune.
My aim as father is to make sure I provide him his basic needs and teach good morals so that he can be useful to the society as the joy of a father is to see his child become useful in life not only for the family but also for the society.
It is very important to train up a child in away he or she will grow up and become useful to the society as it is one of the benefit of fatherhood.
Congratulations on your active role as a father ✨
It's a thing joy to become a father. I appreciate you
It is very true what you describe, many men are detached from their children for the reasons you mention and unfortunately those who suffer the consequences are those children and also their mothers. I congratulate you for making an effort to fulfill your role as a father, and it is very nice to see the affection that children show to their dad.
In our case, our son is already two years old, and when my husband comes home from work, my little boy receives him with so much affection that he hugs him and gets excited, he doesn't let go and they spend the rest of the day together. So when you mentioned what you and your son go through, it was easy to imagine the scene, may you continue to have blessings and make the most of the time you spend with your little one.
