Country Jewelry Contest β€οΈβπ₯ (Nigeria) Making a necklace for myself β€οΈ
Hello everyone
Hope you're having a nice day β€οΈβπ₯
I'm so excited to be part this country Jewelry Contest.
I'm a proud Nigerian and the Nigerian flag features a green white green tricolor design, with each color representing a significant aspect of the country:
Green (top and bottom):
- Represents the country's lush vegetation and natural resources
- Symbolizes growth, harmony, and prosperity
White (middle):
- Represents peace and unity
- Symbolizes the country's desire for peace and harmony among its diverse ethnic groups
The colors collectively represent Nigeria's rich natural resources, its commitment to peace and unity, and its aspirations for growth and prosperity.
It's worth noting that the Nigerian flag was designed in 1959 by Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi, a student at the time, who won a national competition for the design of the flag.
Joining this contest is a great opportunity to flaunt my countrys colour so with this, i decided to make a Necklace that signifies my country's colour
These are the materials i used
- green ball beads
- white ball beads
- necklace hook
- scissors
- fishing line
And these are the steps i used in making the necklace
I cut my fishing line Into a size that was enough go round my neck
I first inserted two green beads into the fishing line
After then , i picked 6 white beads and inserted it into the fishing line
I then picked one green bead into the fishing line
Again, i inserted 6 white beads into the fishing line
Since the normal way is to insert one green bead after every 6 white beads, i inserted one green bead again into the fishing line
I repeated the same process over and over again ( inserting 6 white bead and 1 green bead) till it got to a size enough to round my neck
I then inserted two parts of my hook on the two edges of the fishing line and tied it, cutting the remaining parr of the fishing line out
I cut another fishing line out and inserted it through the first two green beads i inserted and tied the edge of it using the remaining to work with it
I inserted 3 green beads into the fishing line
I picked one of my white beads and inserted it into the fishing line
I inserted 3 green beads again
At this point i was close to the green beads i had inserted for the first row so i passed my needle through it
I inserted 3 green beads again
And added one white bead to it
And again i inserted 3 green beads to complete it
I passed through the green bead in the first row and repeated the whole thing till i completed it and tied it properly
Here's my entry for the country Jewelry Contest β€οΈβπ₯
