Journey From ISB to Kiwai (Kaghan Valley)
Hi guys welcome to another blog, I have been planning to go towards northern areas for a long time but due to some work the plan could not be implemented but finally the time came and the decision was made that now it is the right time for the plan to be implemented, we decided to go towards Naran, the distance from Islamabad to Naran is about 250 km.
Firstly we had to enter on Peshawar Motorway from Islamabad and then we had to divert towards Hazara Motorway.
On the way to the highway, we also got rain, due to which the weather was very pleasant and there was no need to run the AC in the car.
At a point on Islamabad- Peshawar Motorway, you have to take a turn towards Hazara Motorway.
Hazara Motorway is one of the most beautiful highways in the world. You can see very beautiful scenery, you can see high mountains on which the clouds often camp
Although the distance of 250 km is not so much, but due to the bad road in many places, the traveling time can be seven to eight hours. Going towards Naran you have to face most of the problems because of the dam being built there due to which the road is in very bad condition but the desire to see the beauty of the place is so great that the bad condition of the road bothers you temporarily, but when you reach there it feels like you have not suffered at all.
The beauty of Hazara Motorway is its three tunnels. Before these tunnels were built, it used to take at least four to five hours extra in travelling, but after the tunnels were built, the journey has now been reduced.
After traveling for a long on Hazara Motorway, the first service area comes known as Mansehra Service area, the next service area on Hazara Motorway comes after 71KM , we decided to take a brief rest on first service area as we had to take a turn towards Balakot long before the next service area, here we refreshed ourselves by having tea and breakfast.
After getting off from Hazara Motorway, you turn towards Balakot where you have to face a very dilapidated road. We passed this patch too and continued our journey towards Naran. Our first stop was Kiwai. The distance from Kiwai to Naran is about 61 km, while talking about the distance from Islamabad to Kiwai, we have to cover a distance of about 192 km. There are beautiful restaurants and hotels built on the waterfall. We also reached this place and decided to freshen up here, in a restaurant built on the waterfall we decided to eat Trout Fish, a special meal of Naran-Kaghan
You will only find trout fish in cold areas of Pakistan mostly in northern areas , the trout fish was undoubtedly very delicious.
Kiwai is undoubtedly a very beautiful place
Here you can see springs coming out of the mountains at different places, which also take the form of a waterfall. Restaurants have made special sitting arrangements in for the tourists, you would find chairs and Charpai (You can call them bed , mostly use in Pakistan and India for taking nap & rest) in the water of waterfall, people enjoy sitting there and also satisfy their passion by eating.
What was our next destination from Kiwai? will be discussed in the next blog.
Till then take a very good care of you
Your trip is interesting.
