DELICIOZA LARA MIA

The neighborhood of Juna Subdivision, next to the Philippine Women's University in Davao City, enjoys Lara Mia, a
local restaurant serving Italian cuisine. Two sisters who adore sweets own it.

After seeing its Facebook advertisement, my daughter has been telling me about it. Unfortunately, we did not visit the place until my foodie sister came to Davao to try it. They went and enjoyed the place and food without me but took home creamy truffle pasta for me.

It was not your average, white-sauced pasta, which is typically cheesy, but I liked it!

Before my sister returned to our province, I mentioned that our eldest female cousin, a resident of Cebu, was in town. She wanted to see and catch up with our cousin before she would go, so she took joy in taking us to Lara Mia.

It looked familiar to me. Sometime around 2020, I recall meeting a friend there for a brief meeting. It appears concealed at first since nobody would believe that a restaurant—an Italian one at that—is located in what appears to be a garden center, yet the atmosphere is upbeat once you enter because of the variety of green plants. Do you believe that plants create positive energy?

I adore how the Acacia tree was preserved by the owners. They positioned a net underneath it to collect the falling leaves, preventing the restaurant's front ground from appearing untidy.

The main counter for pastries and another for locally produced gelato ice cream are visible as soon as you walk in.

We sat near the main counter and ordered salad, pizza, and two types of pasta. While the food was served individually, we realized we ordered too much! Haha!

The taste of the breadcrumbs and honest mustard dressing combined with the lettuce was excellent

Although we did not finish the truffle pizza, we enjoyed its flavor. When we brought it home, my daughter finished it!

As anticipated, the seafood and truffle pasta were delicious, but we devoured the truffle first.

The garlic rice and beef salpicao were incredibly delicious and tender! I have been craving for this type of recipe of beef salpicao for a long time!

As we spent time with our beloved cousin, we were thrilled by the delicious cuisine served. We talked about our kids, our health, and life in general, after being apart for so long.

I am sure you noticed we did not have some dessert. Haha! Well, we were not able to stay longer since my sister was scheduled to return to the province on the same day.

The comfort room and washing area looked good from our table, so we made sure to try them before we left. Interestingly, the initials M for men and W for women were all that was used to identify the comfort rooms. What an unconventional approach! I just adore it!

When I got out, I noticed there were more tables in a quiet section of the restaurant. Indeed, Lara Mia Restaurant, is a fantastic spot to relax and connect!

I will undoubtedly suggest Lara Mia to friends, family, and relatives who have not tried it yet.

The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the rates were fair!
