I greet you, lords and ladies of Calradia, I am so glad you liked the first part of our series. Your interest makes me happy. Thank you all very much. May our sword be sharp and our arrows accurate. Together we will build a Hive kingdom!

Short Summary of the Previous Episode

We customized our character and chose our banner. We visited a few cities and tried to trade. We participated in our first tournament and I even won it. I took Alek, who I met in the final of this challenging tournament, as a companion. Together we set off for the city of Poros.

I arrived in Poros and made a very profitable deal. For example, I remember buying grain for 10 dinars, but I sold it for an average of 25 dinars or even more. If I can make deals like this in every city I visit, we will make a lot of money.

While I was trading between cities with my soldiers, I was intercepted by this huge band of bandits. I only have 25 soldiers and they have 40. Today, either this adventure ends before it begins or our reputation will be legendary! Just kidding, no one in Calradia will praise you for defeating a few marauders 😂.

I killed some of them with my arrows and rode my horse around them while my soldiers were finishing them off. Look at this bunch of bandits chasing me. If I make a mistake, they will finish me off. Luckily I have experience in this lol.

We won with almost no loss, you could say it was because of my tactical genius 🧠. I gained 4 reputation and my little army gained morale. Also as you can see the skills I use in battle have improved. I will explain what they are and how they work later.

This is our character screen. As you can see, we have 6 main stats: Strength, Control, Stamina, Fortitude, Sociability, and Intelligence. Underneath all of them there are 3 more attributes. So you can improve your character in many different areas. For example, I'm going to try to develop my character as an archer and a leader, so you can see that I've already developed my Bow and Management skills. Every time you improve your attribute by 25 points you choose an upgrade for that attribute. For example, here I have chosen a trait that makes my arrows more accurate when I move and allows archers under my command to deal 5% more damage.

I cleared out another bandit group and found another city where a tournament was being held, and luckily there was a horse as a prize. My comrade Alek also participated in the tournament. It would be great if one of us wins. Joron, a lord, also participated in the tournament. He's certainly a strong opponent.

It was a very difficult tournament, but I managed to beat a very strong soldier in the final. Joron was eliminated in the first round. Maybe I overestimated him. We'll see if it was a coincidence or if he was really a weak opponent. I feel like this name will come up again.

We traveled from city to city and back to our homeland, winning many tournaments and trading profitably. Here I met a hardy female companion and I was impressed by her story. Well, actually I was impressed by her trading and combat skills haha. I paid a small amount of money to take her with me. Welcome to our army, Matha the Homeless.

Yes, I make money from tournaments, but this can't go on forever. When I become a big leader I can't lose time in tournaments but I need to keep making money. That's why I decided to create a caravan, and the leader of the caravan is Matha the Homeless. He can travel all over Calradia and spread our fame everywhere, or he can just trade and make me money. Either way will work for me 😂.

I have heard that there are bandits' base in our lands and that these bandits are harassing our people. I will raid their base so that I can recruit more of their soldiers and so that my people can prosper.

I killed the bandits at the base and their ringleader offered me a duel. Normally I wouldn't accept it, but because of his courage I didn't refuse him. I killed him in front of his soldiers.

While I was trading, I saw an opportunity and I want to share it with you. When a city is besieged, know that there is nothing left to eat or drink. That is why it is very profitable to sell food there. Grain costs 26 dinars a sack and meat 60 dinars. This economy sounds familiar to me, but never mind XD I made 4500 dinars from my sales here. The total cost to me was not 2000 gold.

I won more tournaments, killed more bandits, finally got my clan to level 1. Now we can do mercenary work for kingdoms. I don't know if I want to. A guy named Radagos appeared in the city and told us we could find my siblings. I don't know who he is and if he is deceiving me.

I guess we will find out the answer to this question in the next chapter. Thank you very much for reading, I hope you liked it. This adventure will probably be my longest series in Hive. So I'd love to hear your comments, take care and have a great day!

Taking on a large bandit group with less soldiers sounds tough. Almost looks like you were rounding them up in a bunch in that screenshot. Good job finding good deals for the grain and the new recruit to lead your caravan. Sounds like a very intricate skill/stat system. I like that there’s sub stats beneath them too. Pretty crazy that you took out a bandit base. Will there be a point when it’ll be possible to get your soldiers horses too?

I tried to divide the bandits into two groups. My soldiers do a small part. You can see it in the top right of the screenshot. In the future I can't buy horses for my soldiers, but as I level them up, they can become mounted troops. But I can give horses to my comrades, and I will give them horses in the future.
