Hello to all of you! I had the most amazing trip I have had in a long time! I felt the history in my bones and visited a lot of wonderful places. My girlfriend and I went to Şanlıurfa and decided to go to Balıklıgöl, the most famous place there. It had a really unique atmosphere. There is a mystical atmosphere and I don't know how to describe it, I will do my best.

This is the entrance to Balıklıgöl. I was really surprised that it was so crowded even though it was Friday. I am sure I saw a total of ten thousand people visiting here today. There must be at least 100 people in this photo only.

Also, the entrance was so beautifully forested everywhere that the air was really clean and beautiful. Also the shadows of the trees lower the temperature. When it was 38 degrees outside, it was much cooler there. Each of the trees is of a different species. The city council has done a really good job.

The graves are kept in cages like this. This might be to prevent people from damaging them or stealing them. Unfortunately, people who do not respect historical values exist everywhere. There was a woman crying at this tomb. But I didn't want to shoot it without asking her. It is also great that the signs are in both English and Turkish. Because I saw a lot of tourists here and writing in English definitely seems to have increased the interest in this place. When I read the inscription, I realized that this grave belongs to Sheikh Ali El-Shazeli, the founder of the Shazeli tariqah. I had never heard this name before in my life. I will do some research about him on the internet.

And many more graves. In the 2 previous photos, the sign next to the grave said that some of his relatives took the surname "Eren". The surnames on these graves are all "Eren". I think the graves here belong to the relatives of Sheikh Ali El-Shazeli.

The name of this mosque is Khalil Ur-Rahman Mosque. According to what I read on the signboard, this mosque was built in 504 A.D. as the Church of the Virgin Mary. It was later converted into a mosque. Also, the western part of the mosque was the part where Abraham was thrown into the fire. The water flowing from the fountain there is believed to be healing. You can also see it in the rest of my article.

Then I went to the part with the fish. From here on, the atmosphere of this place impressed me a lot. There is an environment that relaxes one's soul. It was overcrowded and that was a bit bad but the ambiance made me forget everything. I had a lot of beautiful photos taken. I want to share a few of them with you. These fish are the proof of why this place is called Balıklıgöl. There are people selling bait and when you throw bait, the fish gather in the same place. So I tried to bait them and take some photos. There are really a lot of them. According to a rumor, when Abraham was thrown into the fire, the wood there turned into fish. These fish are them too. An official there told me this. It is also strictly forbidden to eat the fish. There is even a prison sentence. I don't think this is true, but it is better for people to know this. Punishments like this will deter people from doing stupid things.

The sign says that this is the place where Abraham fell when he was thrown into the fire. This place was also very popular. I can even say it was the most crowded part. Also, the fountain flowing inside the gate is where the healing water I just told you about.

This is where the water comes out. I tried to take a closer photo but I couldn't get a clear photo because it was never empty. You can buy the bottles on the left side and fill the water.

It was a really impressive view. So I took the view and I also took some photos in front of it. I don't usually like taking photos but I don't know when I will visit such historical places again, so it's good to have a photo as a memory.

You can also wear local clothes and have your photo taken there. I saw a man wearing a grand vizier's hat and robe. When I was about to take a photo, he took off his clothes. It was very sad. But I saw such a person wearing another outfit.

More Fish

I did not forget to take a souvenir photo with my girlfriend. She wanted to cover her face because the sun was shining haha. One more proof that it is really hot.

I don't know what this building is, I just took it because it was beautiful.

At the end of the lake there are lots of benches for people to sit. It is also very cool there because it is full of beautiful trees and shade.

When I walked a little bit, I saw that there was the Mevlid-i Halil Mosque right next to it. I wanted to visit there a little bit and take some photos. There were a lot of people here too.

The mosque is really a great work of art. As I mentioned, a lot of people are visiting and exploring it. I didn't see many informative signs here, so I don't know much about it. I won't be able to inform you either.

It was really an incredible trip. I really enjoy visiting historical places like this. I also visited the Dergah Bazaar next to Balıklıgöl. I'd love to share it with you. Hepinize merhaba! Uzun zamandır yapmadığım kadar harika bir gezi yaptım! Tarihi iliklerime kadar hissettim ve bir sürü harika yer gezdim. Kız arkadaşımla birlikte Şanlıurfa'ya gittik ve oranın en meşhur yeri olan Balıklıgöl'e gitmeye karar verdik. Gerçekten eşsiz bir atmosferi vardı. Ortamda mistik bir hava var ve nasıl anlatacağımı bilmiyorum. Elimden geleni yapacağım.

Burası Balıklıgöl'ün girişi. Cuma günü olmasına rağmen bu kadar kalabalık olması beni gerçekten çok şaşırttı. Bugün burayı ziyaret eden toplam on bin kişi gördüğüme eminim. Sadece bu fotoğrafta minimum 100 kişi vardır.

Ayrıca girişin her yeri o kadar güzel ağaçlandırılmış ki hava gerçekten çok temiz ve güzeldi. Ayrıca ağaçların gölgeleri sıcaklığı da düşürüyor. Dışarısı 38 dereceyken orası çok daha serindi. Ağaçların her biri de farklı türde. Belediye gerçekten iyi bir iş çıkarmış.

Mezarlar bu şekilde kafeslerin içinde saklanıyor. Bunun sebebinin insanların onlara zarar vermesini engellemek ya da onu çalmalarını engellemek olabilir. Tarihi değerlere saygı duymayan insanlar maalesef her yerde var. Bu türbenin başında ağlayan bir kadın vardı. Ama ona sormadan çekmek istemedim. Ayrıca tabelalardaki yazıların hem İngilizce hem Türkçe olması da mükemmel. Çünkü burada bir sürü turist gördüm ve İngilizce yazılması buraya olan ilgiyi kesinlikle artırmış gibi görünüyor. Yazıyı okuduğumda bu mezarın Şazeli tarikatının kurucusu Şeyh Ali El-Şazeli'ye ait olduğunu gördüm. Bu adı ömrüm boyunca hiç duymamıştım. İnternetten hakkında biraz araştırma yapacağım.

Ve daha bir sürü mezar. 2 önceki fotoğrafta mezarın yanındaki tabelada bazı akrabalarının "Eren" soyadı aldığı yazıyordu. Bu mezarlardaki soyadların da hepsi "Eren". Sanırım buradaki mezarlar Şeyh Ali El-Şazeli'nin akrabalarına ait.

Bu Cami'nin adı Halil Ür-Rahman Camii. Tabelada okuduğum kadarıyla bu Camii milattan sonra 504 yılında Meryem Ana Kilisesi olarak inşa edilmiş. Daha sonra camiye dönüştürülmüş. Ayrıca caminin batı kısmındaki bölüm Hz. İbrahim'in ateşe atıldığı bölümmüş. Oradaki çeşmeden akan suyun şifalı olduğuna inanılıyormuş. Yazımın devamında orayı da görebilirsiniz.

Daha sonra balıkların olduğu kısma geçtim. İşte buradan itibaren buranın atmosferi beni çok etkiledi. İnsanın ruhunu rahatlatan bir ortam var. Aşırı kalabalıktı ve bu biraz kötü ama ortamın ambiyansı bana her şeyi unutturdu. Bir sürü güzel fotoğraf çektirdim. Birkaçını sizinle paylaşmak istiyorum. Buraya niye Balıklıgöl dendiğinin ispatı da bu balıklar. Yem satan insanlar var ve yem atınca balıklar aynı yere toplanıyor. Ben de yem atıp birkaç fotoğraf çekmeye çalıştım. Gerçekten çok fazla var. Bir rivayete göre Hz. İbrahim ateşe atıldığında oradaki odunlar balığa dönüşmüş. Bu balık da onlar. Bana bunu oradaki bir görevli anlattı. Ayrıca balıkları yemek kesinlikle yasak. Hapis cezası bile varmış. Bunun gerçek olduğunu zannetmiyorum ama insanların böyle bilmesi daha iyi. Böyle cezalar insanları caydırıp saçma şeyler yapmalarına engel olacaktır.

Tabelada buranın Hz. İbrahim'in ateşe atıldığında düştüğü yer olduğu yazıyor. Buraya da rağbet oldukça fazlaydı. Hatta en kalabalık kısımdı diyebilirim. Ayrıca kapının içinde akan pınar size az önce bahsettiğim şifalı suyun olduğu yer.

Yine tabelayı okuyabilmeniz için yakından çektim.

Burası suyun çıktığı yer. Daha yakından fotoğraf çekmeye çalıştım ama asla boş kalmadığı için net bir fotoğraf alamadım. Sol taraftaki şişeleri satın alıp suyu doldurabiliyorsunuz.

Gerçekten çok etkileyici bir manzarası vardı. Bu yüzden hem manzarayı çektim. Hem de önünde birkaç fotoğraf çektirdim. Genelde fotoğraf çektirmeyi çok sevmem ama böyle tarihi yerlere bir daha ne zaman geleceğimi bilmiyorum. Bu yüzden hatıra olmasında fayda var.

Ayrıca orada yöresel kıyafetleri giyip fotoğraf çektirebiliyorsunuz. Bir sadrazam şapkası ve cübbesi giyen bir adam gördüm. Tam fotoğrafı çekecekken üstündekileri çıkardı. Çok üzücüydü. Ancak başka bir kıyafet giyen böyle birini gördüm.

Daha Çok Balık

Kız arkadaşımla da hatıra fotoğraf çektirmeyi unutmadım. Güneş geldiği için yüzünü kapatmak istedi haha. Gerçekten çok sıcak olduğuna bir kanıt daha.

Bu türbenin ne olduğunu bilmiyorum. Sadece güzel olduğu için çektim.

Gölün bitişinde insanların oturması için bir sürü bank var. Ayrıca orası da gayet güzel ağaçlarla dolu ve gölge olduğu için oldukça serin.

Biraz yürüyünce hemen yan tarafında Mevlid-i Halil Camii olduğunu gördüm. Birazcık da orayı gezmek ve fotoğraf çekmek istedim. Burada da bir sürü insan vardı.

Cami gerçekten büyük bir sanat eseri. Bahsettiğim gibi bir sürü insan orayı geziyor ve keşfediyor. Burada pek fazla bilgilendirici tabela göremedim. Bu yüzden hakkında çok fazla bilgim yok. Sizi de bilgilendiremeyeceğim.

Gerçekten inanılmaz bir geziydi. Böyle tarihi yerleri gezmek çok hoşuma gidiyor. Devamında Balıklıgöl'ün yanındaki Dergah Çarşısını da gezdim. Orayı da sizinle paylaşmayı çok istiyorum.
