Returning the Favor - This War of Mine #4

Hello, my friends, how are you? I hope you are all well, today we will continue our survival adventure. I'm not talking about real life, I'm talking about This War of Mine lol. Thank you very much for your wonderful comments on the previous episode. The series will continue as long as you like it! Unless of course everyone in our shelter dies for some reason 🤣

Day 11

Food is becoming a problem in our shelter. Your characters give you feedback when this happens. Arica says she's starving to death. That seemed a bit excessive to me, but that's okay haha.

I heard on the radio today that cigarettes and tobacco have been replaced by cash in the city, which means that both have increased in value. Cigarettes were something we needed, but we didn't have any, so I don't plan to buy any more XD

See for yourself how valuable a bandage is! I got so much in return that it was surprising even for me. The exchanger brought some really useful things today. I really wish he had brought some fruit. Because then I would have been able to cook more easily, but I'm so happy that he brought so much wood, ingredients and stuff like that.

At night I wanted to go to a different place because the war might close access to these different places that I haven't been to and that would be terrible. So I decided to go to the Samuel Institute and I chose Roman just in case, because it said to be careful. In case I have to fight, I'm going to need Roman a lot.

Unfortunately I didn't investigate very well because there were 3-4 people there and I didn't want to fight alone. I could have trapped them, but it could have ended badly. Honestly, I didn't think there was anything worth it in the building, so I probably won't come here again.

Day 12

Day 12 started calmly, thankfully. Nobody attacked us. I hope it will continue like this. We also found meat in the trap, which we really needed. I actually have enough meat to keep the people in the shelter from starving, but I want to cook with vegetables. That way I can cook a lot more with a lot less ingredients. It would be great if I could start a vegetable garden as soon as possible.

I need electronic parts for that, but I couldn't find them anywhere and the barter man didn't show up today. I listened to the radio, but nothing worthwhile happened there either. Overall it was a quiet day.

At night I decided to go to church, where it said there was plenty of everything, but it also said to be careful. And today I chose Arica. When I say it like that it sounds like I chose Pokemon XD

WTF? I wasn't expecting this. I'd just looted a few simple things and there were men with guns. I just hid because I didn't have anything I could use against them. These don't seem like good people. Maybe I should stop by here with Roman next time. He knows how to talk to these assholes.

Day 13

I decided not to take too many risks and went back. You can see what I found here. It's a pity there's nothing useful except a broken gun, but there's nothing to do.

Now I can develop my metal workshop once more. This will allow me to make things like helmets and bullets. and much, much more. Bullets are one of the things I need the most right now because I need them to attack and defend.

I was going to need two saws in the Church, so I decided to do that while I had the materials. I'm really excited about what I can find there.

A girl came and brought us her mother's earrings as a gift. Do you know why? Because we had rescued her family from under the cave-in. They were the family we went to rescue a few days ago. My human side tells me not to accept them, but I can use them in barter to survive. That's why I accepted this gift.

By the way, Roman plays the guitar great haha. I would love to show you the songs he plays, but it seems ridiculous to upload a very short video on Youtube. If I share it as a gif then you won't be able to hear the sound :P

In the evening I went to loot the church again and this time I chose Roman and I took as much ammunition with me as I could. I know I don't need that much but just in case, you know.

I started using the saws, I hope there's something really worth it because saws are very valuable stuff.

Somebody saw me looting the place, and as soon as he saw me, he cussed me out. I didn't steal anything from them, I just looted stuff that they didn't use.

I hid for a while while they were running towards me and then I thought I couldn't kill them because they were in a group and I ran towards the exit. It was an exciting moment for me. Still, I'm very happy that I found some great stuff there, bandages and much more.

I think that's enough for today, huh my friends? You will see exactly what I found in the next episode. The story is getting really interesting. I need a lot more things to further develop my shelter and maybe start living without going out for looting. Thank you very much for reading. I hope you enjoyed it. Don't forget to share your thoughts in the comments. Take care and have a great day!

Wow, the game looks good in suspense style, although I never liked that everything is super dark, a little lighting surely wouldn't affect the electric bill but that's how the developers like it xd xd xd ^^

That's the concept man, we are in war and we need to stay alive in the war. So it might be dark, people can attack us etc.

This game looks very good, it seems to be a lot of fun, we can spend many hours of training. It seems to be a game about one of the great wars, like the second world war, I don't know if it's just my imagination. Thanks for sharing it, excellent review as always.

Regards.

That's a good imagination, man. I don't think it's like World War II. It's more like an imaginary revolution in an imaginary city.
