Manchester is Blue! Manchester City Rebuild

Hello Hive Gaming followers, How are you? I hope you are well. Since the Premier League is the best league in the world, everyone follows it, and I'm one of the most avid followers. Even though I can't watch all the matches, I watch the highlights of all of them. The reason why I like the Premier League is that it is a very competitive league and high quality football is played. There are 2 teams that show this quality at the highest level. One of them is Manchester City. There are 3 important factors why I like City so much.

1. They play really high quality football.
2. My admiration for Guardiola.
3. Kevin de Bruyne.

That's why today we're going to Rebuild Manchester City. They are also one of the teams that spent a lot of money and didn't win the Champions League.

Before we move on to our transfers, because we were Premier League champions last year, we played a cup match called the Community Shield. Our opponent was Leicester City. They pushed us in a way I didn't expect and the match went to penalties. Because we had better quality players, we won 3-4 and got our first trophy of the season.

In the transfer window I tried to be realistic and I wanted to buy Haaland for the team. In real life Manchester City paid 75 million euros for him. But I paid almost 3 times that amount in the game. We can say that they did a very successful work on transferring Haaland. 🤑.

We needed a right back because Walker was getting old but there was no good right back on the market so I turned Cancelo into a right back and I've signed Theo Hernandez at left back.

Let's start our Champions League journey. We finished 1st in our group and were paired with Dortmund in the round of 16. I thought it was an easy draw and it turned out as I expected. We won the first match 1-3 away from home. I started the 2nd match with the reserves and we lost 1-2 but it's ok because we qualified.

Our opponent in the quarterfinals is Bayern Munich. I thought we had a tough draw but we beat them 1-2 away and then 3-1 at Etihad stadium.

We reached the semifinals without any difficulties. As I mentioned in my previous post, English teams are very successful in the champions league in Fifa 22. Here is a proof:

Anyway, we had difficult matches in the semi-finals, we drew 1-1 at home in the first match. Our new transfer Haaland scored the goal that brought the round. We had many attacks but we could only score 1 goal.

Our opponent in the final was not a surprise, Liverpool. Two most competitive teams of the recent years. Klopp vs Guardiola... We dominated the match very comfortably. Our new signings played a big role in this. If I remember correctly, Haaland scored 2 goals and we won the match 4-2.

It was the first Champions League trophy in the club's history so my players joy was worth seeing 📸.

I don't know when we won the Caraboa Cup, I think I simulated it too fast 😅.

We lost to Everton in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and I think it was a game where the assistant manager played the reserves.

The highest scorer of our team was our new signing Haaland. I think he will be at least this successful in real life.

If there is a more successful player in the team than Haaland, it is my favorite Kevin De Bruyne. Look at his goals and assists!

Our most valuable player was Manchester City's young talent Phil Foden. I like him a lot in real life and I hope he will improve like he does in the game.
