Indie Game Adventures: 911 Operator

avatar

Hello my friends, today we continue our Indie games adventure with you from where we left off. It's been a long time since I've shared an Indie game with you because I've been focusing more on collecting than playing these days. The reason is Steam's decision to withdraw from the Turkish Lira. Maybe I will share this topic in detail in another post. Without further ado, let's move on to our game 911 Operator.

What kind of a game is 911 Operator?

911 Operator, as the name suggests, is a game where you work in an emergency call center and help the people who call you. According to the incoming calls, you direct Ambulance, Fire, Police and Rescue teams to the scene. You play the game only with the mouse. The graphics are modest and you can run this game on any computer. The game doesn't have a soundtrack, instead you listen to the above mentioned teams talking to each other. The genre of the game is Indie and Strategy.

My 911 Operator Experience

There was a short tutorial when I started the game and I learned it easily because the game is not very complicated. I didn't have much difficulty because I only received a few simple calls in the first tutorial. The things requested in the calls were very simple and clear. Sometimes the people who call you in the game call to make fun of you and I ignored them.

I have to admit that I had a little bit of difficulty in my first serious episode, the maps get bigger and bigger as the episodes progress and if you do not distribute the teams correctly at the beginning of the day, you may have a big problem catching up everywhere. So that's what I do at the beginning of each day, I spread the teams across the map, but even so, there were some cases where I arrived very late.

At the end of each day you get a report on how the day went and what I realized here is that you should take a look at even these silly calls. Because if you don't do that, you get negative points for that too and you can fail just for that alone. What you need to pay attention to here is that you should check these last. Because if you look at these when you are very crowded, you will not be able to catch up with anything. I found it a bit ridiculous and I don't understand why it was given a negative score. Someone calls the emergency service and asks for a cigarette. Should I send a policeman there? That's ridiculous. Anyway, if you are not successful enough as a result of these reports, you have to play that episode again. In the report, you can see the details of all the calls and cases you dealt with that day.

One thing I like about the game is that in the transition screens or at the start of the game, they give you tips on first aid etc. that will be useful in real life. How to deal with poisonous snakes, how to recognize them and what to do if you get bitten, all these questions have answers in these tips. This is just one example and there are many other tips. I don't even remember how many there are in total.

After completing the mission, the day, you earn money to buy equipment for the characters in your team, to add people to your team, or to create a team directly. I bought some equipment for my team, for example I bought pistols for some cops, but I never earned enough money to buy a new team member or a new team.

My General Opinion

I've played the game for a few hours and my opinion is positive, would I play this game more? I don't think so because then I'd start to get bored. You're doing the same things in general, I'm going to get more ridiculous searches in the next chapters, I'm going to try to control a bigger map and I think that's the way the game is going to get harder. Maybe one or two new teams can be added but that's it. I have to admit, though, that my experience was pretty good when I played it. I really felt like an Emergency Call Center employee and I tried to act accordingly. I must admit that I had fun. That's why I'll give the game 6.5-7 out of 10. I think that's what the game is aiming for anyway. It would be unfair to overestimate the game and give it a very low score because of that. Besides, I got this game for free from the Epic Games Store, I can't expect much more from a free game.

Thank you very much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. Have you seen or tried this game before? You can share your thoughts about the game in the comments section. Take care and have a great day my friends and don't forget to play a lot of games.

Play More, Live More!

Greetings dear friend, this game is the first time I've seen it and it certainly sounds interesting, but at the same time it doesn't, since it wouldn't be pleasant at all to be receiving calls after calls and for some of them to be meaningless, and like others to be really and they require a team, however, the only way to know is to be there, however, it is not fair that they give negative points, so I will keep that in mind for my phone. Also, this game that you shared with us reminded me of a movie called emergency line, which is very good and I recommend you watch it. Greetings.

Thanks for the advice, man. I'll check out the movie. By the way, the game is for PC but I'm sure there's a mobile version too.

It is amazing they can make games from this kind of jobs and show people some information how it works.
I think it would be amazing to have city options in this game like İstanbul or Ankara for example.
And then leveling and getting bigger maps of our cities would be cool 😎
I understand absolutely why you don't want to play it again, beacuse it is repetitive..
Which is a game killer.

Real life tips and educational content is a good touch though 🙏👍💪👏

If I could choose a city in this way I would spend a few more hours in the game because I would like to experience that too. I have to convey this idea to the game makers. It was a really good game, but I know it can be much better.

The real-life hints and experiencing this profession increased my rating for the game.

First aid is really important. As a sailor and camper i can say that with confidence. We all need education 🙏🙏

I have very rarely tried an indie game, I only remember one that was of that style called "Paper please" which I thought was quite good, in which I was a migration worker from a country and I had to reject or accept people in the country hahaha I loved it. This one about being an emergency operator also seems a bit long but interesting at the same time. Indie games are increasingly rare but I like that they are short and give us another point of view of video games. Greetings and good post about that game hahaha I find it quite curious.

They are very good, they are something different from what one knows because of their design, playability, the style they have and some are short that we can enjoy on a relaxed afternoon. The publication is good and those games seem strange to me but I like them.

It is admirable how you can play this game and not lose your head, although I guess it didn't happen that way since it wasn't that complicated yet. The thing is that I couldn't play this or I would despair for a moment, I just can't keep calm in a real case, not even in a game. Even so, it seems to me a quite curious and interesting game.

Thanks for sharing this game, I'm sure that many people who want to be first aid doctors will use it as practice haha. Greetings!:)

Glad you liked it, yeah this game can be a tutorial for them but not for doctors. It's more like a call center employee, you just talk to people and direct correct teams to people.

Greetings friend. Interesting for its strategy mode, these games although many times or for some seem simple, make you spend good times playing, and it is also good that as you advance in the difficulty level also because it leads us to strive much more.

I haven't tried a game of this style and if you certainly found it for free it makes sense not to overestimate it. It's not my style of play but as long as it leaves you with that "something" to continue playing it, it serves its purpose, although in case continuing to play it would bore you, it's just to have a while and have the experience of having tried it, these Indie games me They seem quite interesting because I don't see them as the typical games that I try :)
🕵️‍♀️

ahh what a crazy game I didn't know there could be a game with this theme but thanks for sharing it, although the concept may sound boring and repetitive it's good to try the game and see how it goes.
