Hello, I hope you are having a good day. A long time ago, I used to post tutorials on Hive because the Turkish resources on Hive were very limited. After a long time, I decided to start publishing tutorial posts again because people in our community were curious about things. So why did I decide to start with cross-post? As I said, I decided to start with this topic based on the feedback I received from community members. You can ask anything else you are curious about in the comments and I would like to tell you about them.

What is cross-post? What is it used for?

Cross-post can be explained as making any post viewable in another community. We can translate it into Turkish as "cross-posting". There can be many purposes for doing this. For example, you shared a game post, there are many gaming communities on Hive and you want your post to appear in all of them. You can cross-post to make your post visible in other gaming communities. Or you forgot to select a community while posting, this happens to all of us. You can cross-post to the community you want to share to make sure that the members and curators of that community see the post. Or you can cross-post only if you think a post belongs to that community, let alone being voted.

How to cross-post?

Now I'm going to show you how to cross-post with visuals. I'm going to use Ecency, but what I'm describing is the same for all front-ends. As you can see, I am in the tab with my posts in my profile.

I hover over the ellipsis next to any post. You don't need to click on it, just hover the mouse over it. I select cross-post, which is the 2nd of the options listed below. I have shown it in red markers to make it more understandable.

When you click cross-post you will see this screen. At the top you will choose which community you want to cross-post your post to, at the bottom the message is written. You cannot leave this part blank, you can put any letter there.

As you can see here, I filled in the blanks. Then we select confirm which means confirm.

And that's all. Now you can open the community page and view your post. You can cross-post any post. It doesn't matter if the post is yours or not, if it was shared 1 year ago or if it is a post you shared today.

Thing You Should Pay Attention To

Each community in the Hive has its own rules. Not every community will accept cross-posting. So I recommend you to check the community rules before cross-posting.

Aradan uzun zaman geçtikten sonra topluluğumuzdaki insanların da merak ettiği şeyler olması üzerine tekrardan öğretici postlar yayınlamaya karar verdim. Peki neden cross-post ile başlamaya karar verdim? Söylediğim gibi topluluk üyelerinden aldığım geri dönüşler üzerine bu konuyla başlama kararı aldım. Cross-post Nedir? Ne İçin Kullanılır?

Cross-post bir herhangi bir postun başka bir toplulukta görüntülenebilir hale gelmesi olarak açıklanabilir. Türkçeye de "çapraz gönderi" olarak çevirebiliriz. Bunu yapmanın pek çok amacı olabilir. Örneğin bir oyun postu paylaştınız, Hive'da pek çok oyun topluluğu var ve postunuzun hepsinde görünmesini istiyorsunuz. Diğer oyun topluluklarında paylaştığınız postu görünebilir kılmak için cross-post yapabilirsiniz. Ya da paylaşım yaparken topluluk seçmeyi unuttunuz, bu hepimizin başına gelebilir. Paylaşmak istediğiniz topluluğa cross-post yaparak o topluluğun üyelerinin ve küratörlerin postu görmesini sağlayabilirsiniz. Ya da oylanmak bi kenara sadece bir postun o topluluğa ait olduğunu düşünüyorsanız cross-post yapabilirsiniz.

Cross-post Nasıl Yapılır?

Şimdi size görsellerle nasıl cross-post yapacağınızı anlatacağım. Ben anlatımımda Ecency'i kullanacağım ancak anlattığım şeyler bütün ön uçlarda benzer olarak geçerli. Gördüğünüz gibi profilimde paylaşımlarımın olduğu sekmedeyim.

Herhangi bir paylaşımın yanındaki üç nokta işaretinin üzerine geliyorum. Tıklamanıza gerek yok, sadece fareyi üzerine getirmeniz yeterli. Aşağıda sıralanan seçenekler arasında 2. olanı cross-postu seçiyorum. Daha anlaşılabilir olması için kırmızı belirteçlerle gösterdim.

Cross-posta tıkladığınızda bu ekran karşınıza çıakcak. Üst kısımda postunuzu hangi topluluğa cross-post etmek istediğinizi seçeceksiniz, alt kısımda mesaj yazıyor. Bu kısmı boş bırakamıyorsunuz, oraya herhangi bir harf bırakabilirsiniz.

Burada gördüğünüz gibi ben boşlukları doldurdum. Daha sonra onaylamak anlamına gelen confirm seçeneğini işaretliyoruz.

Hepsi bu kadar. Şimdi topluluk sayfasını açıp postunuzu görüntüleyebilirsiniz. Herhangi bir postu cross-post yapabilirsiniz. Postun size ait olup olmaması, 1 yıl önce paylaşılmış olması ya da bugün paylaştığınız bir post olması önemli değil.

Dikkat Etmeniz Gereken Şey

Hive'da her topluluğun kendi kuralları vardır. Her topluluk cross-post yapmanızı kabul etmeyecektir. Bu yüzden cross-post yapmadan önce topluluk kurallarına göz atmanızı tavsiye ederim.
