Have a Beer at the Hive Tavern!

Hello my friends! Today I'm here with a different indie game. These kinds of games have always been addictive for me. Welcome to my tavern where you will have fun, drink a lot and have a nice chit-chat!

Tavern Master is a game where you manage a tavern in medieval times. I bought this game when it was on sale and I had no expectations. I love trying new games these days and I wanted to check this one out. The result was perfect for me. As I said above, when I start playing games like this, I can't wait and do my best to make my business the best it can be.

I started the game as a small tavern with only 21 customers a day. I had almost no money lol. By the way, don't expect too much from the game in terms of graphics, but I can't say that it has terrible graphics. It has nice animations in its own style.

I tried to attract people by selling beer and water in this small business. The game is quite detailed, as customers come in you complete research in the research tree and as they complete new features are unlocked. You start making different drinks and all kinds of food. Of course we have waiters in this tavern. For now I employ 2 waiters, 1 chef and 1 cook because that's all I can afford.

You can organize events in your tavern and if all customers receive their orders on time you get bonus money. Also on event days only certain drinks are sold and they are more expensive than usual. For example, I had a birthday party and 20 people attended. By the way, you can see that I changed the name of my Tavern to Hive. Maybe some of the customers will search for our business on the internet and discover Hive :P

Decorations are very important in the game. They give you prestige and attract more customers. I bought some wallpaper and plants inside the tavern and a carpet on the floor. I also hired a musician! He makes my customers have fun and have a good time waiting for their orders. Of course, there are also visible advantages. It makes my customers less impatient waiting for their orders and more customers come.

The weather changes every day in the game. I don't know if there is a specific order, but when it is sunny or cloudy there are more customers and when it is raining or storming there are fewer customers. I pray for no storms every day lol.

What the hack? A thief stole a barrel of water. Luckily the water doesn't cost anything and I was able to get a new one for free. It was kind of a tutorial. I hired a guard to protect the tavern from thieves.

This is what it looks like when there is a storm and your customers drop by 50%. It's realistic because nobody goes to the tavern on stormy days. Unless you're Aragorn. Did you see the part on the bottom right? Yes, you don't have to sit in the tavern anymore, you can get your food to go. More dishes will be added to the menu, guys!

It's time to expand the tavern. Even on a rainy day, 237 customers, I need more tables. I need even more tables than that, but first I need money. I can't expand the tavern for free. Walls, tables, chairs, all this is expensive.

That's it! I expanded the shop and put more tables and now many more customers come and they like to stay longer and spend time here. And they tip when they leave. Yes, the number of kegs has increased, now we have not only water, beer and lemonade but also wine, English beer, honey wine. We can cook meat and chicken now.

Things are going great. We opened the second floor and now we even have a tiny hotel room. We definitely need to improve more, but a hotel doesn't make as much money as a table does. I wouldn't recommend it to you either. The Hive tavern has a great view and is famous in the city!

Even the king and queen organize events in the tavern. They visit us from time to time! The king even said he liked our beer and tipped us a bag of gold! All this didn't happen, just kidding, it's true that they visit us!

There are many different mechanics in this game besides the ones I just told you about. You can change the price of products. When your waiters are unhappy you can increase their salaries and make them happy, the same goes for all employees. And if you don't deliver your customer's order on time, they get angry and leave and you don't make any money. That's why you should pay attention to the table and seat arrangement in the tavern.

That's all I have to say about this game for now. What do you think? Did you like this game? Have you seen it before? Don't forget to share it with me in the comments. Take care and have a great day!

Play More, Live More!

I feel like I've seen this before... I checked steam thinking I already owned it but found that it's not released yet on that marketplace. So either I have it on GOG or some other site, or I'm thinking of something else. Neat looking game though!

Above all, I'm fun, man. Isn't fun the only thing we look for in a game?

Maybe it's given away for free somewhere. That wouldn't upset me because I got it so cheap 😂

I have never heard of this game, but it sounds like a lot of fun.
Thanks for showing us.

I've always had some kind of strange attraction to tavern games haha. Start your business, make it prosper little by little, expand to various levels, gain clientele, etc. It's great. And if you add the medieval period to all this, it is a total enjoyment for me haha.

Exactly! I love this kind of games too. Because of the reasons you told before. It is just fun to run a business and try to grow it.

YOOOOOO, indie games always seem to find a very fun way of playing.

For me its Resort empire, shop empire 1,2,3 and Papa's (Insert food).

These restaurant and management games are superfun, relaxing and chill.

Granted i would have them running on the background while i draw. IDLE MANAGEMENT GAMES OHH YEAH!

I see that you grew it to become so big within a short while. GRRRRRRRRRRR why is your layout so meehhhh. Looks more like a Bootcamp cafeteria than a restaurant.

Whenever i play Cafeland, instead of optimizing tables per tile. I would just go for Fashion because its cool.

My priority was to fit more people. So I organized it accordingly, so we could grow faster.

I've never seen the games you mentioned before, but I looked them up online and they look fun!

Love this! Both the basics of the game but also how you made it to follow the Hive design. Must be a lot more enjoyable to share your lets plays here! :)

It looks cool, doesn't it? I hope it looks cool. At the beginning I had a lot of ridiculous things when I was trying to understand the game, but then everything was easy. I'm so glad you liked it.

This was a fun post to experience. I enjoyed the story of the beginnings and the growth of your tavern. Your post did give me an idea that I might start implementing in my own gameplay!

Thank you for sharing!

I loved the way you explain it, plus it looks pretty good for the type of game it is. I hope I can try it sometime, it's the kind of game that hooks me and helps me not to think too much haha. I send you greetings!
