Hello! I know it's been 12 days since the Euro 2024 tournament ended, but we can still talk about it, right? And since it's been a while, I think we can make healthier comments, so today we're going to give you a short summary of the tournament.

Let's start with the disappointments of the tournament. When I say disappointments, the team that comes to my mind is England. Seriously, I've never seen a team with such a quality squad play so badly. Hey, I know they reached the final of the tournament and lost in the last minutes against Spain, but did they really deserve to be there? They obviously came from the easy side of the tournament. I don't think they could have eliminated France or Germany. Does anybody think otherwise? Man, you have some of the best players in the world in your squad. Foden, Bellingham, Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Saka and many, many more. Cole Palmer, who barely got a chance in the tournament, could have been a star for any other team. Another disappointment for me is Portugal. Yes, they also reached the quarterfinals and lost to France, one of the favorites, but their terrible game against Slovenia, especially in the last 16, was really boring. They barely made it through on penalties and they have a squad full of world stars. Another disappointment for me was Italy. They were eliminated by Switzerland in the last 16 and what's worse is that nobody was surprised. As if Switzerland was the favorite lol. We can safely say that Croatia, Netherlands and Belgium didn't have a good tournament either.

As for the teams that did surprisingly well in the tournament, I think Spain had a great tournament. Not only because they won the tournament but also because they played really attractive football. Especially Yamal and Nico Williams were a joy to watch. I watched one of the most beautiful goals of the tournament thanks to Yamal and I said wow. Some of the most enjoyable matches of the tournament were played by my country Turkey. The reason for this is that we have very talented players offensively and with our defense not being in great form, we played many games with many goals. One of the most beautiful goals of the tournament was scored by our young star Arda Güler and one of the most ridiculous and terrible goals of the tournament was scored by Samet Akaydın. I watched the Netherlands match with my relatives and I was very convinced that we could win the match. I think if we could have won that match we could have beaten England and we could have reached the final. My relatives say we could have beaten Spain but I am not that optimistic XD Austria, who we eliminated, was one of the surprise teams of the tournament. No one expected them to come 1st in the group with France and Holland.

Overall, I think it was a tournament below average. I can't say that we watched very enjoyable matches. Football seems to be getting more and more boring, I hope they are thinking of taking measures against this. All teams now play very good zone defense and prefer fast players for counter-attacks, that's all. Even Real Madrid are adopting this style of play. Turnuvanın hayal kırıklıkları ile başlayalım. Hayal kırıklığı dediğim zaman aklıma gelen takım İngiltere. Ciddi manada bu kadar kaliteli bir kadroya sahip olduğu halde bu kadar kötü oynayan bir takım görmedim. Hey, biliyorum turnuvada finale çıktılar ve İspanya'ya karşı son dakikalarda kaybettiler ama orada olmayı gerçekten hak ettiler mi? Turnuvanın kolay tarafından geldikleri aşikar. Bence ne Fransa'yı ne de Almanya'yı eleyemezlerdi. Aksini düşünen var mı? Dostum kadronuzda ciddi manada dünyanın en iyi oyuncuları var. Foden, Bellingham, Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Saka ve çok daha fazlası. Turnuvada çok az fırsat bulabilen Cole Palmer başka herhangi bir takımın yıldızı olabilirdi. Bir başka hayal kırıklığı da bana göre Portekiz. Evet onlar da çeyrek finale kadar yükseldiler ve favorilerden Fransa karşısında kaybettiler ama özellikle son 16 turunda Slovenya'ya karşı oynadıkları berbat oyun gerçekten sıkıcıydı. Penaltılarda zar zor turu geçmeyi başardılar ve dünya yıldızlarıyla dolu bir kadroları var. Bir başka hayal kırıklığı bana göre İtalya'ydı. Son 16 turunda İsviçre'ye elendiler ve daha kötü olan şey ise kimsenin buna şaşırmamış olması. Sanki İsviçre turun favorisiydi lol. Hırvatistan, Hollanda ve Belçika'nın da iyi bir turnuva geçirmediğini rahatlıkla söyleyebiliriz.

Turnuvada şaşırtıcı bir şekilde iyi olan takımlara gelecek olursak bence İspanya harika bir turnuva çıkardı. Sadece turnuvayı kazandıkları için değil aynı zamanda gerçekten göze hoş gelen futbol oynadıkları için bunu rahatlıkla söyleyebilirim. Özellikle Yamal ve Nico Williams'ı izlemek çok keyifliydi. Turnuvanın en güzel gollerinden birini Yamal sayesinde izledim ve vay canına dedim. Turnuvanın en keyifli maçlarından bazılarını da benim ülkem Türkiye izletti. Bunun sebebi ofansif olarak çok yetenekli futbolculara sahip olmamız ve defansımızın da çok formda olmayışıyla birlikte çok gollü maçlar oynamamız. Turnuvanın en güzel gollerinden bir tanesini genç yıldızımız Arda Güler attı ve turnuvanın en saçma ve berbat gollerinden bir tanesini Samet Akaydın kendi kalesine attı. O sahne gözümün önüne geldikçe sinirleniyorum. Hollanda maçını akrabalarımla birlikte izledim ve maçı kazanabileceğimize çok inanmıştım. Bence o maçı kazanabilseydik İngiltere'yi de yenebilirdik ve finale kadar çıkardık. Akrabalarım İspanya'yı da yenebileceğimizi söylüyor ama ben o kadar da optimistik değilim XD Elediğimiz Avusturya da turnuvanın sürpriz takımlarından biriydi. Fransa ve Hollanda'nın olduğu gruptan 1. olarak çıkmalarını kimse beklemiyordu.

Genel bir değerlendirme yapacak olursam bence ortalamanın altında bir turnuvaydı. Çok keyifli maçlar izlediğimizi söyleyemem. Futbol gittikçe daha sıkıcı bir hal alıyor gibi görünüyor, umarım buna karşılık bir önlem almayı düşünüyorlardır.
