Since I prepared this post via Liketu, the first paragraph is an introductory paragraph, the other paragraphs are written for each photo in turn.

Last weekend, my brother and my family were traveling from the village to Izmir. My brother's university is about to start so he is not planning to come back. Since the distance between the village and Izmir is quite far, he can't go back and forth all the time anyway. Only 2-3 times a year. And on the day of their departure, he said he was craving for fresh walnuts. I mean, we had walnuts in our house, but by fresh walnuts, he meant white walnuts that were just plucked from the branch. I couldn't break my brother's heart because it was the season for them. I was craving them too and I set off. I will share with you the photos I took during this walk.

It was a bit hot on the way and there was no shade on the road. I wondered if I should turn back. Then, as I said, I started walking fast so that my brother could eat before he left.

I have always had a great interest in nature landscapes. When I see the mountains in front of me, when I breathe in this fresh air, it lifts my spirits. It is even better if there is something cold to drink. There wasn't any this time, but that's not a problem.

As I move towards the greenery, I feel my soul becoming free. I touch the leaves as I pass by and try to feel their life energy. Don't laugh, this is not a yoga session.

The greenery has increased even more on this path. It is so nice to walk under so many trees and benefit from their shade. Thanks for protecting me from the sun, homie. I was hoping to take a squirrel photo here because I usually see a squirrel in one of these trees but I guess they are hiding because it's too hot.

I was quite thirsty when I took this photo. I had a short distance to the vineyard and I didn't have any water with me. There was a pool just to my left and it was empty. I think if it was full I would have jumped in.

And finally we came to my grandparents' garden. I love this garden now. There are all the fruits you can think of in the garden. Apples, pears, plums, peaches, apricots, cherries, grapes, strawberries and if there are any fruits whose names I have forgotten, I apologize to them. And the tree you see just to the left is the reason we came here. It is a walnut tree.

I am sure there are some of you who have never seen walnuts like this. This is exactly what walnuts look like before they are picked from the tree. The smell is really amazing. I don't know how to describe it but I can say it is simply fresh. The leaves are also quite large and they give off the same scent.

I picked about 20 walnuts. I could have picked more but these are enough to taste them. These are good to eat right now. But you have to wait another 3 weeks for them to ripen. I don't know if I will be in the village then, but if I am, I can show you how we harvest and peel the green part.

This is the exit of the garden. It's a bit uphill but it's not a problem. You need to be careful with some of the plants you see in the photo. Because there are dead nettles among them. If you touch this plant you may itch for a long time. So I recommend you to stay away. I don't know who put this stick there but I didn't touch it in case it was useful.

Geçen hafta sonu kardeşim ve ailem köyden İzmir'e yolculuğa çıkacaktı. Kardeşimin üniversitesi başlamaya yaklaştı bu yüzden geri gelmeyi düşünmüyor. Köyle İzmir'in arası da oldukça uzak olduğu için sürekli gidip gelemiyor zaten. Sadece yılda 2-3 defa. Ve yola çıkacakları gün canının taze ceviz çektiğini söyledi. Yani evimizde ceviz vardı ama taze cevizden kastı daldan yeni koparılmış bembeyaz cevizler. Şu anda bunun da tam mevsimi olduğu için kardeşimi kıramadım. Benim de canım çekiyordu ve yola çıktım. Sizinle bu yürüyüş esnasında çektiğim fotoğrafları paylaşacağım.

Yola çıkarken hava biraz sıcaktı ve yolda hiç gölge yoktu. Acaba geri mi dönsem diye bir düşündüm. Sonra dediğim gibi kardeşim gitmeden yesin diye hızlı hızlı yürümeye koyuldum.

Doğa manzaralarına karşı her zaman büyük bir ilgim var. Karşıdaki dağları görünce, bu temiz havayı içime çekince keyfim yerine geliyor. Hele içecek soğuk bir şeyler varsa daha da güzel oluyor. Bu sefer yoktu ama problem değil.

Yeşilliğe doğru ilerledikçe ruhumun özgürleştiğini hissediyorum. Geçerken yapraklara dokunup yaşam enerjilerini hissetmeye çalışıyorum. Gülmeyin, bu bir yoga seansı değil.

Bu yolda yeşillikler daha da arttı. Bu kadar çok ağacın altından yürümek ve gölgelerinden faydalanmak çok güzel. Beni güneşten koruduğunuz için teşekkürler kanka. Burada bir sincap fotoğrafı da çekmeyi umut ediyordum. Çünkü genelde bu ağaçlardan birinde sincap görürüm ama galiba çok sıcak olduğu için onlar da saklanmış.

Bu fotoğrafı çektiğimde oldukça susamıştım. Bağa çok az yolum kalmıştı ve yanımda su da yoktu. Tam solumda bir havuz vardı ve içi boştu. Sanırım dolu olsaydı içine atlardım.

Ve sonunda dedemlerin bahçesine geldik. Bu bahçeyi şimdi çok seviyorum. Bahçede aklınıza gelebilecek bütün meyveler var. Elma, armut, erik, şeftali, kayısı, kiraz, üzüm, çilek ve adını unuttuğum meyveler varsa onlardan özür diliyorum. Ve hemen sol yakında gördüğünüz ağaç bizim buraya gelme sebebimiz. Ceviz ağacı.

Eminim aranızda cevizi hiç bu şekilde görmemiş kişiler vardır. Ceviz ağaçtan toplanmadan önce tam olarak bu şekilde görünür. Kokusu gerçekten muazzam. Nasıl tarif edeceğimi bilmiyorum ama tek kelimeyle ferah diyebilirim. Yaprakları da oldukça geniş ve aynı kokuyu yayıyorlar.

Yaklaşık 20 tane ceviz topladım. Daha da toplayabilirdim ama bunlar tadına bakmak için gayet yeterli. Şu an bunlar yemeye uygun. Ama hepsinin olgunlaşması için 3 hafta daha beklemek gerekiyor. O zaman köyde olur muyum bilmiyorum. Olursam hasadını ve yeşil kısmını nasıl soyduğumuzu da gösterebilirim.

Bahçenin çıkışı burası. Biraz yokuş ama problem değil. Fotoğrafta gördüğünüz bazı bitkilere dikkat etmeniz gerekiyor. Çünkü aralarında Isırgan otu var. Bu ota dokunursanız uzun bir süre kaşınabilirsiniz. Bu yüzden uzak durmanızı tavsiye ederim. Bu çubuğu oraya kim koydu bilmiyorum ama belki bir işe yarıyordur diye ellemedim.
