En lo que parece ser un hospital, hay un paciente en una habitación muy padeciente de alguna enfermedad pero lo notorio es el pitido de la máquina de electrocardiograma alertando que este paciente está en sus últimos momentos, entra rápidamente un enfermero y varios más, entra uno tras otros pero sin importan que hicieran el paciente termina muriendo.

Paso un tiempo ya, estamos en otro hospital y nos recibe la escena otra enfermera que busca medicamento para una paciente que luce de avanzada edad con su esposo que por cierto, están recién casados, la señora muestra unas llagas enormes en la boca, su esposo tiene que irse pero ella le ruega que no lo haga aunque el insiste ya que las reglas son que nadie puede quedarse pero la enfermera le da una silla reclinable y una manta para que se quede pero bajo extremo secreto; yéndose a la recepción a hablar con la recepcionista sobre algunos pacientes es llamada por la que parece ser una ejecutiva.

Dentro la oficina nos aclaran que la bondadosa enfermera se llama Amy y será reprendida por dejar que parientes se queden porque los gerentes no quieren dar un presupuesto más alto y tienen problemas en el hospital para subsistir económicamente, pero de igual manera la dejan estar normal ya que es la enfermera base del hospital y no lo hace de mal corazón; de igual forma también le informa que le tiene una buena noticia y es alguien que la suplirá un poco en las noches, viene bien recomendado y tiene experiencia, al escuchar eso Amy agradece y se va.

Atiende a otra paciente femenina que está en coma y mientras la arregla con fuerza moviéndola y cambiandola, ella al parecer tiene una dolencia o ataqué, se va casi tambaleando a una habitación vacía y allí se recuesta apretándose el pecho de algo que parece ser más grave, termina su turno y se va a su casa, la recibe la niñera ya que Amy es madre soltera de dos niñas, ocurre una situación incómoda con la niñera pero se soluciona y las niñas se van a la escuela.

Aunque Amy por otro lado va a una consulta médica en el cardiólogo en busca de respuestas y este efectivamente le dice lo que pensamos, tiene una deficiencia en el corazón y está riesgosa de sufrir un infarto, le informa que la agregará a la lista de pacientes de espera por transplante y la única forma de que aguante es dejando de trabajar pero Amy se niega rotundamente ya que no tiene seguro médico por parte del hospital hasta cumplir un año y no podrá pagar los gastos de vida si no trabaja pero bueno, se va.

Al otro día se encuentra con quién la ayudará y es curiosamente el enfermero que vimos al principio, luce muy amigable y ella como lo es aún más le muestra como es el sistema ahí, también le muestra el sistema Pixys que es una máquina que expende las medicinas con el código de cada enfermero; se hacen más familiares entre sí porque son muy amigables y se ayudan bastante en el trabajo.

El problema ocurre cuando ya ha pasado una semana de haberse conocido y haber estado en su peak, la señora que atendió Amy al principio muere y son avisados en la mañana al llegar al hospital; murió muy misteriosamente ya que estaba mejorando eficazmente.

Based on a true story in Pennsylvania, USA.

In what seems to be a hospital, there is a patient in a room suffering from some disease but what is noticeable is the beeping of the electrocardiogram machine alerting that this patient is in his last moments, a nurse and several others enter quickly, one after another but no matter what they did, the patient ends up dying.

Some time has passed, we are in another hospital and we are greeted by another nurse looking for medication for a patient who looks elderly with her husband who by the way, are newly married, the lady shows huge sores in her mouth, her husband has to leave but she begs him not to do so although he insists as the rules are that no one can stay but the nurse gives him a reclining chair and a blanket to stay but under extreme secrecy; going to the reception to talk to the receptionist about some patients is called by what appears to be an executive.

Inside the office we are told that the kind nurse is called Amy and will be reprimanded for letting relatives stay because the managers do not want to give a higher budget and have problems in the hospital to survive economically, but still let her be normal because it is the base nurse of the hospital and does not do it with a bad heart; likewise also informs him that he has good news and is someone who will supply a little in the evenings, comes well recommended and has experience, to hear that Amy thanks and leaves.

She attends another female patient who is in coma and while she fixes her with force moving her and changing her, she apparently has an ailment or attack, she goes almost staggering to an empty room and there she lies down pressing her chest of something that seems to be more serious, she finishes her shift and goes home, she is received by the nanny since Amy is a single mother of two girls, an uncomfortable situation occurs with the nanny but it is solved and the girls go to school.

On the other hand, Amy goes to the cardiologist for a medical consultation in search of answers and he tells her what we think, she has a heart defect and is at risk of suffering a heart attack, he informs her that he will add her to the list of patients waiting for a transplant and the only way for her to endure is to stop working but Amy flatly refuses because she has no medical insurance from the hospital until she is one year old and she will not be able to pay for her living expenses if she does not work but well, she leaves.

The next day she meets who will help her and it is curiously the nurse we saw at the beginning, he looks very friendly and as she is even more so he shows her how the system is there, he also shows her the Pixys system which is a machine that dispenses medicines with the code of each nurse; they become more familiar with each other because they are very friendly and help each other a lot at work.

The problem occurs when a week has already passed since they met and have been at their peak, the lady who attended Amy at the beginning dies and they are notified in the morning when they arrive at the hospital; she died very mysteriously since she was improving effectively.
