A dilemma: Factors to consider

Today we talk about Starpro token and the ways to acquire/earn the tokens and the factors to consider.

Starpro is a hive-engine token associated with Risingstar game.
Though the main earning token in the game is still Starbits, Starpro can also be earned doing specific missions.

Starpro is earned/acquired mainly using 4 different ways

• Playing Music Promoter missions in Risingstar game.
• Swapping Starbits to Starpro using diesel pools.
• Selling Starbits to swap.hive and then use the swap.hive to buy Starpro in the hive-engine market.
• Buying Starpro using Swap.hive in hive-engine market.

Let's discuse each option and the associated factors that come with it.

Music Promoter Missions.

The user has to first deposit Starpro into the music promoter pool and then bid for one or more missions.
The highest bidder owns the mission till he/she is out of Starbits or someone out-bids him/her.
The Starpro is distributed at the end of the day, based on the amount of Starbits spent in the bids.

The things to be aware, that the distributed Starpro is based not only on the total Starbits spent but also on the no of bid missions succcessfully completed.
The Total Starpro amount available at the end of the day also depends on the total amount of Starbits burnt in the day.
The bidding of Starbits on the mission also has an impact. This may not become feasible for small time players, if the bids goes up quickly.
Usually the big time players who have spent lots of Starbits on bidding earn most of the Starpro for the day.

The average price is calculated using the total Starpro earned and Starbits burned.

Swapping Starbits to Starpro

Using the diesel pools you can swap the Starbits to Starpro. The conversion varies based on the amount swapped.

There is one thing to be aware of that the Starbits token have 8 decimals, whereas Starpro token has only 2 decimal places.
This means that you will most of the time get less Starpro, unless you do the math and put right amount of Starbits to convert.

Below is the example where you will get 0.01 Starpro only as the final Starpro amount is not rounded of to the nearest 2 decimal places.

Selling Starbits and buying Starpro

This one has its merit. Selling Starbits for swap.hive and then using the swap.hive to buy Starpro.
Again this works faster, if you use the current buying and selling price to do the transactions.
Which sometimes may not be feasible.

The other alternative is to put sale orders for Starbits and wait for it to complete and then put buy orders for Starpro.
This may become tedious and spending more time on the hive-engine website

Yesterday, i did one transaction where i sold 10000 starbits and then purchased 0.02 starpro. I did end up saving some swap.hive.
But that's marginal gain.

Buying Starpro using swap.hive

This is straight forward, buying Starpro using swap.hive from the hive-engine market.

Apart from above methods, you can also earn Starpro by selling your game NFT for Starpro in the in-game market or third party websites at your risk.

Conclusion:

Each method of earning/acquiring starpro has it's merit and demerits.
I think music promoter missions is suited better for big game players. This doesn't mean small players should avoid it, but play when the bidding is favourable.
Swapping tokens can also be favourable when proper calculations are done before deciding to swap.
A person who can spend a good amount of time should look at the option of buying and selling on hive-engine.
Finally, if you have good amount of swap.hive then just go ahead and buy Starpro on market price or place orders on hive-engine market.
