Sometimes we get all charged up, ready to make all pending project done, and then a little sway just get us off track and we become reluctant, lazy, and unwilling to make effort toward so many things.

We then begin to live lazily.
Situations like this are bound to happen but how we approach them determines how fast we get out of them.

It was the beginning of a new semester I had all planned, ready to barge all As in my courses,
and get my next six months planned figured, in the next four months max, the semester would be over and I will get to do the next thing on my agenda.
All that was needed was to complete this semester as it was the second semester and get ready to move to the next level in school.

Gradually, I was close to graduating from school only for the government and the body governing schools in my country to disagree with the payment of lecturers and a strike was the only way to get the federal government's attention pay up.

The school went for a two weeks warning strike to see the response of the federal government but no response was made and an additional one month was added to the strike.

I was disappointed, a whole one month at home doing nothing other than waking up every morning hoping for the strike to be called off.
All through these days, I was aimless and unwilling to make any effort as I thought I got them all planned only for a strike I never saw coming to disrupt my plans

My charged-up spirit was drained, it was like the hope of graduating soon has been extended and I have no power over it all I can do is just hope for it to be called off.

I became tired of everything, I could not work all because of starting a job today and then the strike get called off the next day.
I became lazy and had no interest in anything the habit got deep into me when the strike was two months and all just seemed vague, the hope of graduating soon, the hope of resuming soon and all.

And then the thought of making dreams outside the school wall came to me and got me up every morning and with that, I indulge in reading and surfing things online about online jobs rather than sitting home all day, who knows how many months the strike would last.

I broke the habit of been lazy to do things and I got fixed up in learning and acquiring knowledge, this got me up every day and help over the habit of living aimlessly
I became charged up again and live every day trying to get things done.

Sometimes all we need is to think from another angle and we get back on track.

Thank you @galenkp for this interesting topic this sure help me let out how I got over being lazy and reluctant in making efforts.

It a post about one of this weekend topics.
About

Write about a time in your life that you look back upon in which you were lazy, aimless or unwilling to make an effort, What was the situation, why were you that way inclined and, if you broke the habit, how did you do so and what was the ultimate result.

You didn't follow the concept guidelines, something you have failed to do several times before. I explained that in my last comment.

I choose to maintain a high standard in my community. You chose not to read the concept guidelines, plain and simple. If you address the incorrect aspect of your post it will be unmuted and included as an entry. If not, then not.

If you feel this is unfair then please never post here again.

I don't address issues like this for no reason. I've asked you at least three times to tag correctly for this concept and still you do not. I don't write the rules to have them ignored. So fix your error and all will be well.

I'm glad you realised your mistake, I was going to wipe out your rewards if you decided to come back agressively at me.

You tagged it incorrectly fella, clearly you found out your error as you have edited it now. So yeah, seems like you knew the mistake you made after all right?

I could have told you what you did wrong, but then I'd have to send you an invoice for my time. You're an adult, so you'll have to start working things out for yourself.

When I want to do something then I will make sure it gets done, no matter how long it takes me.
When I don't want to do something, I don't. When I was younger I thought I was being lazy, now I realise that I don't give af!

Dear @ijohnsen, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got an important support from the community. However, it lost its funding few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.
https://peakd.com/me/proposals/199

Your support would be really helpful and you could make the difference! Thank you!
