JUST ANOTHER MONDAY

31st of December 2023 came very fast and it was like that day was twelve hours instead of twenty-four hours
How fast the time was that day, I don't understand. In a twinkle of an eye, we were already on the first of another year. okay, maybe that's just for me alone, but it sure was a fast one

New Year celebration, that kind of celebration you see smiles on everyone's faces for overcoming the previous year and thanking God for the beginning of another year

It's always a beautiful celebration to have with families and friends

My New Year celebration came just as another Monday okay maybe a Monday without work because Mondays have always been known for work

I woke up very late this particular Monday because of the watch night I went to on New Year's Eve

I was not with my parent so my parent's call woke me up wishing me a prosperous year ahead

And yeah after the call I went back to a deep sleep, it was as if I had been sedated last night

I just wanted to sleep all-day
I was not even thinking if that was how I wanted to start a new year

I wanted to sleep that much

After some hours when I felt I had gotten enough sleep already, I woke up and it was already close to noon

Without much time I grab myself a normal breakfast, not the type you eat on a New Year or Christmas that has a lot of spicy and lovely things to go with just a normal meal

It was just a normal rice, had my breakfast, and yeah was ready to binge into my movie to while away time before my neighbor knocked so I could help them take nice pictures

Took them nice pictures and I could see the smiles on their faces, they loved it
without further activities, I went back indoors to see my movie

Watched the movie for a while before I got a call to come hang out

Hanging out wouldn't be bad, it's a better way to start the year rater than staying indoor all day

This was already in the evening and after some preparation, I was out already with some friends and yes I had that meal, that New Year's kind of meal with lots of lovely and spicy things along

It was fun with them, lots of gist of how the year went with each and everyone, talks about how each and everyone would like this new year to go and yes we celebrated the new year one way we could and thanks for the call I was able to spice the new year a bit

The fun was cut short when the night started drawing nigh, to avoid Lagos traffic. I had to leave so I wouldn't just regret going out that very day

Came back with some takeaway to have as dinner and yes that was all about the day

It was just another Monday for me nothing special, ohh maybe the call and hang out added made it a little different but apart from that it was just another Monday

Looking forward to so many good things and lovely time this year
