My visit to Cambridge Nursery and Primary school today 16/01/2023

One of my personal goal this year is to impact so many lives in different ways. There are so many ways to assist or help so many in our society. Quality Education is one way to do so. In Nigeria, there are so many children who are not going to school because their parents could not afford school fees.

In some states where there is free education, still, to buy school uniform, text books and writing material is still challenging. Just like the school I and @chimeroselam visited. The situation there is not really good.

About Cambridge Nursery and Primary school.

According to the Head teacher, He said the school is 12 years old now. When he established the school, there was no school in that Community. Even up till now, there is no government school in that Community. He related to us series of challanges he faced in that community.

He raised the school to JS1 to SS3. But as he increased school fees from 7k to 12k so as to run the school smoothly,. There was big problem., Parents withdrew their children back to the house and told him to leave their community that he came to make money on their head.

He said it took him 6 months to help them see why they need to pay school fees. He went on to tell them to allow their children to come to school instead of staying in the house.

Right now the school doesn't have secondry school again because parents said they had no money to pay school fees. For the 50 students He has now in the school, many have not paid school fees for 2 years. He said he is doing most work as if he is running a charity organization. He expressed his gratitude to #HIVE For giving his students exercise books to write.

Cambridge Has intelligent students.

After explaining to the teachers what Hive is all about and how they they can benefit from hive by investing and being a content creator. I now turned attention to the student. I told them that we will give the exercise book to only those who know how to tead, all of them want to read what is written at the back of the book.

I was amazed from what I saw and i asked the head teacher the secret of what I saw.

He said that schooled in China and thought there as a teacher for many years before He came back to Nigeria to give out the same training he received over there.

I encouraged him to continue to give them quality education despite challenges. The school has just 50 students as of today. Many of them do not have complete exercise book they need and they don't have text books because their parents cannot afford it. So sad.

The students were so happy especially those in primary 5 who do not have complete exercise book but today they have it. The owner of the school expressed his gratitude to Hive blockchain.
