📖 Do you remember Ragnarok?

Ah, the nostalgia of old games...
Those that transport us to a world with our companions, I'm not that old, so no 3TeamSpeak, maybe Skype. After reminiscing the glory days in the world of Tibia, now it's time to share another gem of MMORPGs: Ragnarok Online.

As I mentioned before, my time to dive headfirst into games as I used to is quite limited nowadays. So, when it comes to Ragnarok, I opt for the Pre-Renewal version. For those not in the know, this is the version of the game before the big update that messed things up a bit, making some classes overpowered while others... well, not so much.

For those in the know, imagine a class that is focused as a healer (Archbishop), being able to do all sorts of content in the game Solo, and not only that, but also staying alive during the process, they are almost unbeatable. They managed to ruin a support..

📖 Firstly the Merchant

My first step in this world was to create a Merchant. Not because I was particularly interested in trading or building up an economy good enough to sustain myself on the server, but because I wanted that wonderful Discount ability. With it, I managed to buy essential items for a lower price for my next main class choice: the Ninja. With the Ninja, the real game began, one thing I always enjoyed about the Ninja was the speed at which it could cast its abilities from a distance. Seriously, the cooldown was so low that I could use one skill after another in a matter of seconds. It was like dancing among the monsters, leaving a trail of destruction while collecting items to trade for Zenys.

I would like to point out here, I am referring to the kunai and shuriken throwing abilities, for those who already know the game, they know that the ninja's magical abilities consist of a long casting and post-casting interval, in this case, that time to reuse.

📖 Toy Factory, the best place to start

One of the places I loved exploring was the Toy Factory. Not only because I love the idea and theme of Christmas, after all, we fight against elves and presents, literally crazy presents, but also because it was a great place to gain experience and loot valuable items (Gift Box - Candy - Gingerbread and others). It was there that I found my first challenge, the Haati Baby. This mini version of the Boss Haati may not be the most powerful in its category, but it's not a pushover either, it has its freezing abilities that can be quite troublesome for ranged attackers.

And that's why, even after all these years, Ragnarok Online remains one of my all-time favorite games. Not just for the nostalgia of exploring a vibrant fantasy world full of adventures, but also for the amazing community surrounding it. Because in the end, it's the friendships we make along the way that make each journey truly unforgettable. And in the world of Ragnarok, those friendships are as enduring as in Tibia.

Como mencionei antes, meu tempo para mergulhar de cabeça em jogos como costumava fazer é bem limitado hoje em dia. Então, quando se trata de Ragnarok, opto pela versão Pré-Renewal. Para quem não está por dentro, essa é a versão do jogo antes da grande atualização que bagunçou um pouco as coisas, deixando algumas classes superpoderosas enquanto outras... bom, não tanto.

Para quem está por dentro, imagine que uma classe que é focada como curandeiro (Arcebispo), consegue fazer todo tipo de conteúdo no jogo de forma Solo, além de se manter vivo durante esse processo, ele é quase imbatível. Conseguiram estragar um suporte..

📖 Primeiramente o Mercador

Meu primeiro passo nesse mundo foi criar um Mercador. Não porque eu estivesse particularmente interessado em negociar ou construir uma economia boa o suficiente para se manter no servidor, mas sim porque queria aquela habilidade maravilhosa de Desconto. Com ela, consegui comprar itens essenciais por um preço menor para minha próxima escolha principal de classe: o Ninja. Com o Ninja, o verdadeiro jogo começou, uma coisa que sempre curto no Ninja era a velocidade com que podia lançar suas habilidades a distância. Sério, a temporização era tão baixa que podia usar uma habilidade atrás da outra em questão de segundos. Era como se estivesse dançando entre os monstros, deixando um rastro de destruição enquanto coletava itens para trocar por Zenys.

Gostaria de lembrar um ponto aqui, estou me referindo as habilidades de lançamento de kunais e shurikens, para aqueles que já conhecem o jogo, sabe que as habilidades mágicas do ninja consiste de um grande intervalo de conjuração e pós-conjuração, no caso aquele tempo para reutilizar.

📖 Fábrica de Brinquedos, o melhor lugar para iniciar

Um dos lugares que mais gostava de explorar era a Fábrica de Brinquedos. Não só porque adoro a ideia e temática de Natal, afinal lutamos contra duendes e presentes, literalmente presentes malucos, mas também porque era um ótimo lugar para ganhar experiência e saquear itens valiosos (Caixa de Presente - Bala - Gengibre e outros). Foi lá que encontrei meu primeiro desafio, o Haati Baby. Essa mini versão do Boss Haati pode não ser o mais poderoso de sua categoria, mas também não é um peso morto, ele tem suas habilidades de congelamento que pode atrapalhar muito para atacantes a distância.

E é por isso que, mesmo depois de todos esses anos, Ragnarok Online continua a ser um dos meus jogos favoritos de todos os tempos. Não apenas pela nostalgia de explorar um mundo de fantasia vibrante e cheio de aventuras, mas também pela comunidade incrível que o cerca. Porque no final das contas, são as amizades que fazemos ao longo do caminho que tornam cada jornada verdadeiramente inesquecível. E no mundo de Ragnarok, essas amizades são tão duradouras quanto em Tibia.
