What Keeps Me Going [Wk 26]

(Edited)

While on the university grounds yesterday, we noticed a young gentleman playing ball on the field. He might be practicing a certain technique or footwork, whatever they call it in football. He was so focused on what he was doing regardless of the chatter and distractions around him (there were graduates taking pictorials with their families, people walking here and there, etc).

I was quite impressed with his concentration so I took a picture from afar (the image was cropped to appear closer).

It was fitting for today's updates so I used it as this post's thumbnail. It also came at the perfect time when doubts were rearing their ugly heads like they were trying to dissuade me from my set targets.😊 Yeah, that's a confession - me having second thoughts whether I was doing something stupid or one I would be thankful for in the future. The scene of the young boy with the ball reaffirmed my commitment and set my sights on the long term.

Anyhow, June has just a day left and we are to welcome the new month - July. I mean whew! Where did the last 6 months go to? As I often say, the time has grown wings and flies, lol! But first, let me take a quick count of the progress for week 26 on #MyHiveGoals.

Re: Hive Power

  • Current Amt: 20,717 HP
  • Previous Wk: 20,522 HP
  • Added: 195 HP

Still a decent growth of 0.9% during the week with an average of 27 HP per day (including my manual staking). According to the numbers on Hivestats, the curation reward was 30.43HP which accounts for 15% of the staked HIVE growth and approximately 85% was from the content (author) reward in the last 7 days.

With my current Hive Power (some delegated), the account's full vote value at 100% is worth 20 cents or 0.90 HIVE. That just made me wonder what amount of HP gives 1 HIVE at 100%. It would be nice to be able to do that. But until then, I will continue and enjoy the journey to get there.

Re: Leo Power

  • Current Amt: 30,322 LP
  • Previous Wk: 30,274 LP
  • Added: 48 LEO

Gone were the days when I was staking LEO like crazy but at least, my stakes are still growing albeit very slowly. With 16 days before the Leo Power Up Day initiative (LPUD), the growth might remain insignificant in the next two weeks, although together, they still add up and move the numbers.

Re: HBD Savings

  • Current: 1,104
  • Previous Wk: 1,089
  • Added: 15 HBD

With my sporadic addition, it was not surprising to see such an amount had been added during the week. That would earn me a small passive income of at least 17 HBD. It's not life-changing but it's still nice. HBD is like a little vault with its own magic.😊 Perhaps if I use it to trade wisely, it would give more returns but since trading is not my strong suit, savings felt better and less riskier.

So yeah, the numbers have increased from that of last week and I'm grateful. And let me borrow Ali's words, my goals keep me going! And I truly love the Saturday Savers and its saving initiative for it allows us to keep renewing our commitment to the dreams we set for ourselves. Onward and forward!

Happy weekend frens!

The goal is to keep going and not give up. It's a good thing to track one's growth and progress so far as it helps to know where one is doing well and not. Your goals are looking good and I wish you a happy new month of July in advance.

The University Kid was probably juggling.
Meant to build skill and ball control but almost practically useless in a real match.

Unless you're suicidal or crazily gifted😂

But regardless, it is nice to look at.

I always think of how crazy it is that he wouldn't know he's on hive and online right now😂.
Although almost no one would be able to know who he is from the picture.

You're hive goals are looking good.
Was to lazy to write on mine, although pretty much nothing has changed 😅

Oh well, we keep on going.
It's the little things...

I think so. His hands were on his hips and juggling the ball. And yeah, he can't be identified in the photo😂 I usually blur out the faces of people when they get included in my pics so no worries haha.

Thank you and I still write even when nothing has changed, it's like a kick in the arse to do something about it, lol!
