Soulbound NFTs Revolutionise Splinterlands Experience

The soulbound tokens / non-fungible tokens are exactly the same as the standard versions. The only difference or unique side of them is not being sold or transferred to some other wallets / users.

The soulbound NFTs are not a new thing in Splinterlands. The concept was integrated into the game with the launch of Gladius pack that is specifically designed for Guild battles. The monsters of Gladius packs are dope but they are not used in ranked battles.

After Gladius, now there are new souldbound Reward monsters and summoners that are in your deck for every battle. Let's discuss what these cards bring to Splinterlands.

Additional Gamification

I believe the soulbound tokens are another layer of gamification in Splinterlands. Imagine the whales of Splinterlands that can own everything they want such as Plots, tracks, validator licenses and summoners. Even if they have money in their pocket, they cannot own these cards without luck, time and patience.

Money is nothing if something is not for sale. The soulbound mechanism shows that reality once again.

I want to have this card. I have some money, I know how to win battles and increase the number of chests at the end of the daily quests. What's missing is Luck!

Even if I die for it, it clearly says that Eternan Brune can only be obtained through in-game rewards! It drives me crazy but I love it, as well 😅

Complexity via SoulBounds' New Skills

Have you heard of the skill, Martyr? It makes the next monster +1 stronger in terms of each stat when the monster with Martyr dies out.

This crazy stat changed my whole strategy of mine for some classical battle positions. Now I sacrifice 3-4 mana easily to grow my tank and be the nightmare of my rival.

The scope of the game has been enlarging with new things being deployed. I realize that I consume more energy capture rate each day as the game challenges my brain more to play smarter 🐉
