Economic & Crypto Calendar (May 15 - 19)

We are starting a new week that is not based on the interest rates from the FED or ECB, rather, it will be under the influence of DXY.

Since the inflation rates seemed decreasing and the interest rates showed a positive (!) impact, the markets were expected to be green by many of us.

Unfortunately, the negotiations over the budget of the government in the USA had not been unsolved, and the risk of the USA not being able to pay for its debt sounds crazy risky for the whole world.

Of course, this would never happen but the narrative is useful to control the markets. Let's see if the DXY turns upside down for a positive atmosphere in markets.

Economic Calendar of the U.S.

As I mentioned before, the markets are in waiting mode as there is a negotiation to be finalized before June.

Other than that, there are some data such as Initial Jobless claims that may have very slight impact on the markets.

Economic Calender of G20

There are 2 important events that may affect the strength of DXY deeply. The first one is the CPI data on Wednesday from Euro Zone. Assuming that the rate is above the expectation, investors will buy the narrative that the interest rates will keep rising.

After that day, the speech of Lagarde may also have an impact on the DXY as a result of the volatility in the EUR/USD pair.
