An head band for my new hair

A plesant evening everyone in this lovely comunity.
My journey in the crochet world has been an amazing one. My inspiration in the particular project was from my little hair do. I am trying to grow my hair so I decided to go to the saloon and make this knots hair call (mpem) in my local dialets.
So I needed something to use and beautify it and the idea of an hair band came acrose my mind and I decided to take my knitting pin and do something beautiful.

Materials
Pink wool
White wool
Knitting pin
Scissors

So I started with making a long single chain I measure it in my hair I did not want to make it to cover my hair so that I can use the elastic for it to be stretchy and easily worn.

I had to turn it and do a halve double crochet on the single chain I repeated the halve double crochet over and over again till I had a length of what I needed and apart from that I needed it to be heavy as well.

So after making the shape of what I needed I decided to fold it so that I can insect the elastic inside and then saw it.

I put my needle inside the thread and started sawing the elastic inside the whole and also close the edges of the folds.

I closed it by taking the other side of the elasting to join it with the edge of the other knitted wool that was folded.

So I needed it to be special. I decided to do small circles using the white wool and the pink wool to give additions of colour beauty.
I started with a magic ring and then I did two steps of single double crochet around it.

At this point I had to used the thread inside the needle to attached it to the head band I had finished making.
