Moving on has to be one of the hardest things in life. As they say, you cannot advise a person who is in love as love just has a way of blinding you from seeing things that are glaring to everyone. When you finally receive your sight you’d be so amazed at the things you had done when you were head over heels for a person.

It's one thing to break up and another to move on without turning back. I heard We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together by Taylor Swift playing in a restaurant where I went to grab lunch and for the first time I listened carefully to the lyrics and did not just sing the chorus like I usually did.

I couldn't help but wonder what Taylor Swift experienced in her previous relationship that made her write the song. In order to satisfy my curiosity, I did a little research on it and discovered that the song was born out of an encounter she had with a random guy who was her ex's friend who had walked into the studio and made a comment about the rumors he had heard about Swift and her ex coming back together.

We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together is Taylor Swift’s fourth song in her album RED which was released in 2012. The song is written in a manner that you might sometimes feel is not a breakup song.

The song might be sarcastic, and playful yet it still passes a message. Listening to the song you can't help but wonder who Taylor Swift was addressing in her song.

We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together is for everyone who is contemplating going back to their ex.

I love the matter of finality that is heard in the artist's voice. This tone of finality inspires me to take or make firm decisions without caring about what the world says or how the world feels.
