To my Lovely friends

Dear friends, it’s been one hell of a ride with you all, and a ride I wish to continue with you all.
I hope you all are doing great and I hope life has been fair to you all.

Distance, our jobs, and life keep getting in the way of us seeing and visiting one another but guess what? We’ve been conquering every obstacle and we all have been friends against all odds.

The older we grow the crazier it gets as life keeps throwing so many things our way. It’s funny how we all had the perfect plan; go to high school, go to college, graduate, get a decent job, get married to the love of our lives, and continue to live our fairy tale life but news flash the universe had something different for us as some of us are far from living our dream lives, others hanging by a thin thread but in all, we are all alive and are hopeful and that’s what matters😃

To everyone I call my friend I love you, I love you all more than words can ever describe and you all mean the world to me.
I am grateful for the gift of love and the gift of friendship.
Having you all in my little corner has been nothing short of amazing and. I am so proud of you all.

I know we sometimes have misunderstandings, sometimes we even quarrel over the most minute things but trust me I wouldn’t trade you all for anything.

I apologize for not calling and texting often, I apologize for not keeping tabs on everything happening in everyone’s life as I do not know how I got to this point in my life where calling and texting do not excite me anymore but I am hopeful that I will get past this phase though.

I may not visit, call, or text often but trust me I think about you all, I still have flashbacks of all the times we spent together, and random things, places and events also remind me of you all once in a while and whenever I do I always smile.

In the spirit of being all loving and sincere, I want to sincerely apologize for being an asshole so many times as I can be a handful sometimes but you all stood by me tolerating my excesses and loving me every day regardless of my excesses, I'm truly grateful guys😃

For yelling, misinterpreting, and withdrawing, I apologize as I am not proud of some of the things I did and said.

It seems as though the older we get the more we grow apart, I just realized you all are scattered in different cities and countries and it’s funny how I can’t attend some of your weddings.
I know we envisaged being maids of honors, committee of friends partying at our weddings till dawn but right now the reverse is the case as we are now virtual guests, crazy right? I know but what can we do?

I know we are all growing, advancing in our careers, building empires, facing challenges, and seizing opportunities but one thing I want you all to know is to take it one step at a time, do not lose yourself in the process of finding yourself, always stay true to yourself as in the end that is all that will ever matter.

I love and care about all of you, you all can’t get rid of me anytime soon as we all are stuck together like gums from old shoes🥰

Friendship sometimes takes years to develop, and at other times, it happens immediately and naturally.
It's always nice to have friends who do not rely on constant communication, who we can contact at any time and feel like we've only just spoken:)

Lovely letter. All words I can relate to.
My closest friends were from university, but I haven't seen them in years and our only connection has been sending messages at the beginning of the year or on birthdays.

Sometimes I forget even that. We are both busy raising children and working, so I feel empty saying “I hope to see you again” when I know we won't see each other. Months pass in that way...

That's the sad reality of life, we just might not see some of our friends till we leave this world but then again we are grateful for the gift of friendship😃
