Pains of losing a pet
According to the popular saying “a dog is man's best friend”. Man has found a true friend in a dog. Dogs are so loyal, no matter how you treat them they'll still warm up to you again and again.
I wasn't a fan of dogs some time back but it's safe to say that I am beginning to see them in a different light. Not in the aggressive or violent light that I had seen them all these while but in a loving way. A way that explains their loyalty to their owner and the need to protect their owner from external forces, if they could talk they would probably say stuff like "No offence ma'am I was only doing my job nothing personal"
I appreciate and admire the genuine friendship that exists between dogs and their owners, this type of friendship can exist for years without any form of betrayal.
Prior to this time, I was always surprised whenever I saw pet lovers crying and feeling all sad after losing their pets, I felt they were overreacting as the loss of a pet wasn’t that deep but that changed when my cousin's dog died of Hernia.
In all honesty, I didn't know dogs could have Hernia too, I thought it was only a human sickness but watching firsthand the dog struggling and eventually dying was tragic. I witnessed firsthand as my cousin broke down several times, she wept like a mother who had lost her baby, she was so sad that everyone annoyed her in the house and her mood affected us all. That was when I knew that losing one's pet was way deeper than you can ever think or imagine.
The way pet lovers celebrate whenever they get a new pet and cannot get over the feeling of having an additional member of the family is the same way they cannot get over the fact that they have lost another member of their family to the cold hands of death.
Imagine getting back home and there’s no Riley to wag his tail or no Ria to jump in excitement upon your arrival, no Kiara to take pictures of or Billy to do all the tricks you taught him, no one, just you, you, and you🙂
Watching from the sidelines you might not be moved by the death of a dog but you see the pet owners. they get really sad after losing their pets.
Someone might say "But she can always get a new one", do you think it's so easy to invest so much emotion and time in your pet just to lose them and start all over again? From the very beginning? It's easier to say but in real sense, it is so difficult.
People should never downplay the emotions of pet lovers who are mourning their pets, let people grieve the way they want to.
To everyone who has lost a pet before I pray you heal and move on eventually.

If I have a pet I will definitely grieve for its loss, I hope that your cousin heals or has healed from the loss of her pet.
People who can not relate to the connection between pets and their owners might think they are overreacting over their lost.
Yes because they do not understand the bond they share.
I can understand grieving a pet, although not entirely though, maybe it's because I've never had a pet before. But I won't downplay on the grieving of a pet lover.
Yes my darling, never downplay their emotions, you can always support them in the best possible way that you can.
no es fácil, se les extraña mucho, se vuelven parte de la familia.
It is not easy, you miss them very much, they become part of the family.
So true my !Lady🙂
The joy they bring to your heart at their excitement over your entrance to the house, their kisses, hugs and loyalty are such endearing factors that their absence leaves a vacuum in your heart.
!hug to your cousin💕

Well said Whitney and thank you so so much🥰
Well well well, I love dogs for their fun character but don't keep them anymore because they make me work, hehe
Indeed they are good companions and no wonder people use them even as sex mates but of which I find really insane
I have had a dog which when he died, I felt it and since then I decided not to again. Make I just go find woman jare
And he had to end with this?!😂😂😂😂oh Lord!!
Completely agree with everything you highlighted in the post. I am not an animal person myself, but absolutely appreciate the love and care pet owners give their pets and can empathize with their loss. It is truly the circle of life though, and one can be happy that the owner and the pet gave each other love in the short time they were together.
Cheers from a fellow #dreemerforlife
I totally agree with you, the love and memories they share are what they hold on to eventually.
Thank you Brijwhiz😃
If you don't understand the relationship between a pet lover and his pet then you will think it's just an ordinary animal with human. I don't downplay on the grieving of pet lovers because I love pet too though I don't keep them.
Good girl! That’s what I’m talking about!🥰
So sorry for her loss, hope she heals quickly.
what a cute-looking puppy ❤️, it's not easy to get over the death of something you love.
I cry over losing some material things and talk less of a dog that is a living thing.

Lol me too I cry over losing some precious things. It isn’t easy at all.
Thank you Meya🥰
Lol
You're welcome 🤗
Awww.... Hope your cousin has come to terms with the loss? From my religious beliefs, I have come to realize animals are soul too and as such are affected by whatever could cause harm to humans.
The only differences are our forms, genetical buildup and speech. But in all, we function from the same essence.
The dog was such a lovely dog, and I do hope your cousin gets to find another soul she can invest all that love in.

She’s getting better with each passing day but for now we don’t think she’s ready to get a new dog.
Thank you Bipolar🥰
You are welcome dear
I think this is also why some people never invest in pets. The fear of losing them. Emotions, if underestimated, can leave you a wreck especially when it has to do with something or someone you love

The pains pet lovers go through are out of this world!
