My Hive story: How it all started..

Hello Hiveans,
I know we’ve all read different amazing Hive stories on the chain, we’ve read stories that made us smile, stories that cracked us up, and even stories that made us feel a certain kind of way but today I share with you all how my Hive journey began😃

How did you join hive?, we all have our story to tell. I am sure you all have a story to share. Share your story with us?

It’s been almost two years and it feels just like yesterday when I made one of the best decisions of my life.

I got introduced to Hive by my friend, I remember vividly how he’d tell me about how interesting the platform is, he’d go on and on about the friendships he has made. He was always busy writing or making videos for Hive. It was always Hive, Hive, and Hive to him and it was fascinating to watch a young person get all giddy when he talked about all of his experiences on Hive. It made me curious, I wanted to know Hive, I wanted to enjoy Hive as my friend did and I wanted to write too.

I kept asking my friend to teach me but he kept telling me it was going to be difficult for me to navigate because of my busy schedule after much pleading I decided to give up on trying to learn Hive.

A few months later my friend decided to teach me Hive to my uttermost surprise. In his words “I’ll teach you Hive and that would be my birthday gift to you” it turned out to be the best birthday gift of all time.

The excitement I felt after he broke the good news to me knew no bounds. I was going to join an amazing platform, write to my heart's content, have my own blog, make some money on the side, and meet new people too.

My friend agreeing to teach me Hive was one thing but the time to teach me was a problem as there was no perfect time as life kept getting in the way of my learning Hive. It was either he was busy and I was free or the other way round and this kept happening until we were able to finally create time for my Hive tutorials.

Just when I thought everything was going smoothly, creating my account was such a hassle and I thought it was a sign to not get into Hive as at every point I had encountered a problem that made me question my decision.

Finally, my account was created against all odds and I was a bonafide member of Hive. I was so happy and so was my family as their daughter was now a web blogger😂

My excitement started to dwindle when I was schooled on the Don’ts of Hive, There were so many “Don’t do this”, and “Don’t do that” and it scared me because I don’t do well with so many rules, I questioned my decision again.

Taking a leap of faith I decided to enjoy Hive regardless of all the hurdles that came alongside.
It’s almost two years now and I am enjoying every bit of Hive, I’m showing up every single day and supporting the platform in ways that I can, so yes it’s been one hell of a ride and a ride I wish to continue.
