How it starts…
To so many of us, Hive will forever be our safe haven, a place where we can get vulnerable, rant, or get overly emotional and nobody will rub it in our faces and if there are mean people here the ratio is 8:2.
I have shared more personal stories and experiences here than on any social media platform, heck! I have shared more of my pictures here than anywhere else because I feel comfortable and safe.
I see Hive as my safe space, a space where I can let it all out, and each time I do that I always feel light and refreshed.
How do you get inspiration for your inspiration for your creations or posts.
It's no news that sometimes we lack inspiration and motivation to write and when this happens we often feel bad because we become less productive. Inspiration is not what you have control over as it comes at its own will and most times it comes when you aren't ready.
Ever since I joined the blockchain I told myself that I was never going to make Hive a chore, a chore that I need to do regardless of the circumstances, or a chore that I need to do right or do haphazardly.
I told myself that I would never force myself to write when I know I can't, I would never put myself under pressure nor would I post rubbish on my blog because I need to maintain my daily writing streak.
My blog is so important to me and I will never put up rubbish. When people read my blog they get a glimpse of who I am outside of Hive and I like it that way.
I get inspired by any or everything and I get inspired by the most ridiculous things you can ever think of. People's conversations, random things, random thoughts, and events can inspire my post and that is why you would always see statements like "this post was fueled by" or "this post was written as a result of" and many more on some of my posts. As I get inspired by different things it’s always hard to see me write in a particular community over and over again as I write in different communities depending on the dose of my inspiration for that day😃
I mostly get inspired during the early hours of the morning, you know that moment when you want to get out of your bed but you are just too lazy to, you stay all tucked in till whenever you have the courage to stand up. While deciding to sleep back or wake up properly random thoughts go through my head, and in that moment the ideas begin to come, the words begin to form, gradually but progressively my post begins to take shape.
The one thing that has helped me in writing is drafting and leaving the draft halfway when I have exhausted my points and coming back to it when my head is clear to finish up. Coming back refreshed means new ideas and new thought patterns to spice up my post and I am always in awe of how this works for me
If I am not inspired I will not write and as a result of that I have been unable to get the Weekly Author Badge because I have not written for 7 days straight up, do I feel a certain kind of way? maybe a little but it’s satisfying to see how I manage my 8-5 job and writing alongside without any of them suffering.
I try to write at least four times a week and any day I do not write be rest assured that I am very much active on Hive as you would often see me on the street of Hive engaging and making new friends and that to me is a win!
My hardest days on Hive are the days when I get to deal with writer’s block, and during those days I try to not sulk too much and read other author’s post that relates to my niche and it helps a lot.
My advice to people would be to never see Hive as a chore as you’d zap the fun out of it, see Hive as a regular social media platform and the reward as a bonus😃
This is my entry to the #juneinleo monthly prompt and the monthly prompt is open to everyone.

Hive is certainly a haven for most of us. I agree with you on not making it a chore or it will tire us out. The idea is to enjoy what we do and when we do it. I love how you get inspiration and have your post drafted halfway. ❤️
Thank you so much my !lady, I am glad that you love how I get inspired😃
Yesterday, hard as I tried, I could not write anything. I just let it be. Like you, I want people to be able to feel me when they read my articles.
Late in the evening, I got the idea on how to construct my post. It's is yet written at this time of commenting, but I already have the points all noted out. Now, today, it's not going to be a struggle. Just nice and easy.
I could relate to most of what goes for you in the writing game.
Well done.

That’s the spirit darling, you don’t have to force it as you wouldn’t be impressed with the out come eventually.
Thanks for this beautiful comment my !luv😃
I.like that point where you said you decided not to see hive as a chore such that even when you don't have the inspiration, you force yourself to write. Quality is something we should be aiming at all thw time.
Well said man, well said.
I have learnt few things from your experience, there are times I feel pressured about what to write about on hive not because I don't have a title in mind but it is just that thoughts might not be organised at the moment.
Writing should be fun not chore.

Ohhh yeah, the more fun it is the easier it will be for you😃
The drafting halfway is the newest pattern for me.
These days, I squeeze out to write and whenever I'm on it and something comes up, I leave it to the next day😎
That technique works like magic!
Hive is a beautiful place and I enjoy every time spent here. There's always that time when one experiences writer's block, and it shouldn't be something to worry about. As it comes, it will go back too. 🤣
Yes ooo but sometimes e dey tey oooooo😂😂
Writing flows freely when there is inspiration for it. I do come across some writing prompts that I would be able to relate to within minutes, while at other times, I can spend days without knowing how to write anything related. It's fun when one gets inspired to write.

It sure is Lightpen and nothing beats that!
Yeah! Hive is a beautiful place, a safe place to be.
It seems we are sharing something in common, I too don't just write, if I am not inspired then it's not me.
Thank you baby😃
During the hive tech conference in Ghana, the speaker said that if you are doing hive to be paid for your efforts you might as well not do it because it’ll feel like a job and that resonates with what you said
#dreemerforlife
Exactly! I got the shock of my life when I heard a Hivean say he quit his job to start Hive as a full time job, how ridiculous!
Keep up the good work. 👏🎵
Dear beloved Hive creator,
Coding poet Gudasol here to support you sharing your art + life on Hive.
As a fellow creator, I know how hard it is to get the word out there.
I built cXc.world to help creators like us get more support from the blockchain community + beyond.

Bad news: Saying see you later to Hive! 👋
We didn't get the needed support to continue cXc.world on Hive, as our DHF proposal lacked votes, but [Good News Everyone] cXc.world will add a Markdown copy button, allowing you to easily share your music + music you find on Hive.
For now, we're on WAX, with tools you can use to mint your own Music/Media NFT collection.
