DIY photo frame for a baby

avatar

You know when you stare at a child and you just can’t believe how he or she moved from being those little humans you carried to being all grown up and doing stuff for themselves?

This is the exact way I stare at my friend's daughter Giovanna who is practically my child too. I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that the little human I carried six months ago in the hospital is this big. Truly they grow up so fast!

I thought hard about what to give to my baby as she clocked six months and that was when the picture frame idea struck me and I was happy to make a picture frame for my baby😃

I stared at her 6 months pictur and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.

To make this beautiful picture frame I used the following materials.

Materials
Foam sheet
Colored Sticks
Paper
Pencil
Razor Blade
Gum
Scissors

Procedure

Step 1:
I started by drawing all the parts of an animal craft on my picture frame.

Step 2:
I proceeded to carve out each of the parts of the animal craft with my blade as this would be used to carve out the actual parts of my animal craft from the foam sheet.

Step 3:
I placed all the parts of my animal craft on the foam sheet and I carefully carved out every part.

Step 4:
With all the parts of my animal craft ready, it was time to make my picture frame with my colored sticks.

I placed two colored sticks, applying gum to the top and bottom of another stick I placed it on the two sticks and I repeated the same process for the remaining sticks until I got the length I desired.

Step 5:
I attached the eyes and nose of my animal craft.

Step 6:
Seeing that my frame was beginning to form, I proceeded to apply gum on the head and placed it on my already arranged colored sticks.

Step 7:
I attached the other parts of the animal craft and I did this carefully so I would not ruin the look of my frame

Step 8:
I got the picture for the frame, applied gum on it, and gently placed it on the stack of colored sticks which is my frame.

I put the finishing touches and my picture frame was ready.
