This life is a dream
Underneath twilight’s gentle hues,
Two friends sat by the river’s gleam,
"Could we be living God’s dream"
Our days, like shadows, swiftly pass,
Moments fleeting, like the grass
A wandering land.
Or a script.
Our purpose, to live with love.
Finding God’s presence in each day,
For every step, in this role we play.
Through trials, God’s love to know.
Lessons, gifts in disguise,
To strengthen faith and make men gods.
Through suffering to learn obedience.
As stars adorned the night’s dark sky
We embrace this sacred dream daily.
Playing out a divine script.
