Thankful (Thursday) for the Illusion of Cool || AATYr4 || LarryIsAlive

It's #thankfulThursday once again. 🎉 Today I will be doubly thankful for each and every blessing. ✨ Each day that we are #aliveandthriving is a gift, so let's simply enjoy it. 😉 There's no doubt that it's summer here in the Philippines, and this year is particularly hot, hot, hot. Our temp is mostly in the 30C+ but most times feels much warmer. We've been getting heat indexes in the 40C+ in some places.

During the day, it's not that hot inside the flat and a couple of electric fans can maintain the cool inside. I have the windows wide open so I can also look out and see my container garden. It's not much of a view but it's much greener in person. Too bad the mobile cam does not capture much of the nature feel of the photo. LOL! 🤣 I dream of growing these plants more so they will cover much of the open spaces and create a green foliage around the terrace. If you notice, there isn't much view around except buildings -- tall and small. 😝

I'm thankful for the cooling system now 'coz it provides us the illusion of cool inside the flat. We usually turn it on in the late afternoon to evening. That's the hottest time as we're surrounded by concrete and it somehow absorbs all the heat of the day and brings them down in the flat. Time was when the heat was livable. It has been getting warmer these past few years. 😔 The heat is not imaginary as the water that comes out of the faucet is still warm, like there's a built in water heater (when there's none). The water tanks though are located on the roof top. LOL! Anyway, I'm just grateful I can feel some relief even for a few hours each day. 😌

Daily goal achieved ☑️ only 17% more for the weekly goal and I have until Saturday to complete it. Definitely doable. Too far to tell if I'll get to complete the monthly goal. Today I got to send out another mail. I hope it does better than the previous one. 🙄
