Chooseday Thoughts : Missing Bonding Times | Alive and Thriving Yr 3

Since @ecency on mobile doesn't work well for me, I decided to send over yesterday's photos to my laptop so I could share some of the stories from my day's adventure.

The voting center was in a nearby public school that we could walk to and from our place of residence. It wasn't too far but it proved to be a challenge for me, as I haven't exactly been out and about for quite some time now. My assigned classroom was on the second floor and this was the hallway leading to it. Took this photo when I was done voting and was debating with myself whether I should go up the third floor to find my daughter. I decided to save my energy and went downstairs instead.

Well, I wanted to take more photos so this was the perfect spot as it is shady and so it wouldn't be too hot. The school has several buildings, but we're pretty familiar with this voting place that we know our way around.

We are still required to walk around with mask, so it's really not fun to be out and about. I prefer being home where I can go without mask the entire day. I'd say there weren't that many people around. It was not too crowded in our districts. I've seen long lines in the others though. In the past, Mom would be with us too. I truly miss her.

On our way home, we decided to trek to my old work place where there's a cafe at the ground floor. The streets were pretty empty, as it's a holiday.

We could spot the cafe in the corner. They were prepping to open at 10:30 am. It was a little after 10 then. We decided to wait since we did miss the milk tea from this cafe.

I used to order take out after work hours when we had the office in the same building. It had been two years. I miss the bonding times we used to have together esp at the neighborhood mall.

This interesting looking plant was on the other side of the entrance. That's near where I took my selfie from yesterday. I sat there for a while as it takes a lot of effort to stand for a long time. We finally got our orders and headed home. It was a tiring day for me, so I was practically behind all my tasks yesterday. I had to take a nap a few times to recharge my energy.

How I miss the times when my daughter and I went traveling. I guess I now have to face new realities. Travel will be a huge effort on my part now.
