Happy SaturYAY πŸŽ‰ Wow, the week flew by so fast. It's my most awaited day of the week again. πŸ™Œ

Nothing exciting happened today. It's a regular one, thankfully. As for the week, it's been a pretty warm one with only two days with rain. πŸ™„ I'm not too cool with that. πŸ˜“ I've been trying to find the balance between comfort and keeping cool.

Alive&Thriving Saturday : Valuable Energy Saving Tip

I don't hang out on social media a lot. I do minor scrolling once in a while, but hardly do that daily. Thankfully, I came by one of the post that an uncle has shared on FB. It's about energy saving tip for air conditioning electricity costs.

According to the post (someone from Malaysia shared the tip), he sets his air conditioning to dehumidification mode to lower the room humidity. Apparently, this mode makes the compressor operate at a lower frequency. I'm all for saving on energy cost, so I think I will try and test this suggestion. Malaysia and the Philippines have similar weather conditions and humidity is relatively high all the time. I saw the post late last night, but I did try it a bit. It seemed to cool the room more.

I decided to start using the cooling mode first before shifting to dehumidification mode tonight. I will definitely experiment on what works best for me. It would be great to be able to use the air conditioning while saving on electricity costs too.

It's a brief one tonight as I plan to catch up on some rest and sleep. No movie watching for now. I do watch videos on YT daily anyway. 🀣

It's a wrap as my day off begins tonight. I was supposed to do a bit more chores, but I'm feeling a little tired. It will then have to wait for tomorrow. Do enjoy your weekend! Nighty night from Manila. Ta-tah! πŸ‘‹

Is there a dehumidification mode in the air conditioner? I never tried that. As we do not need to worry about the bill, we always go for the maximum cooling mode.

Good luck with your experiment. Let us know the results.

Enjoy your weekend.

I just learned about this from the photo that came with the post shared. The snowflake ❄️ mode is for cooling. The πŸ’§ water drop mode is the dehumidification on the remote. I'm definitely going to test this out. After all, who does not want to save much on electricity costs, right? !LOL I !HOPE I master it so I can enjoy the cooling system and still save some.

Enjoy your work days, Doc!

Well, the post shared a photo.. cooling is the one with the snowflake icon ❄️ while dehumidification is the one with the water icon πŸ’§mode on the remote control. I admit I had to look for it and try it out. !LOL Glad I learned something new but I do need to test it to be sure if it is indeed effective.

Happy Sunday! πŸŽ‰

My A/C unit is a window unit and it does not have a remote control with it, it does have an economy setting I put it on that and will see what happens.
