WHAT IS YOUR COMPASS FOR JUDGING GOOD OR BAD?
Have you ever puzzled yourself with questions that keep you up at night or make you feel you should be doing more?
Or have you ever stopped for a second to wonder if things are actually in the right manner, or if we all just living life on our terms and conditions that could be judgmental or scary if we think about it?
Well, I came across one and it still eats me up cause I haven't gotten a response or a befitting answer that satisfies my human conscience.
The question is
what is the moral compass for judging good or bad?
How on earth can one know if an action is good or bad or even neutral some would say? What is that inbuilt device or compass that tells you what you are doing is quite wrong or totally off the rail?
I could say it is the human conscience but honestly, I am not entirely satisfied with that answer cause I feel there is more. There could be a human gadget or something inbuilt, (that is if there is any) within the human psyche that tells us all when we are going off track or completely being insane or irrational towards others. I would say the curiosity of finding out what makes humans tick when making a decision is what prompted me to write about this.
Explain it or not, there is more to what we can see with our eyes. I remember watching a video of Jordan Peterson where he poured out his heart, by saying a lot of people are suffering all because they lack the person to tell them they are doing fine and their effort will pay off. And this got me thinking for a sec that it's not entirely far from the truth, if we lack the person who can tell us the truth about life or even teach us what we don't know or lack in our medulla oblongata, how can we then build a moral compass or even feed it if we have one. The more you think about it, the more you will realize that deep down as humans and within our subconscious beings, we all crave attention, love, and above all companionship, not just from anyone but from the ones we love. Many may not be willing to admit and in this aspect, I would say the male gender can be found guilty.
Society has made the male species of the human race build up a tough persona that helps them to protect their weakness or flaws. But this slows destroys their psyche more than they know or accept. It is okay to show your weakness or flaws, for only then can you know the steps to take towards solving and even the people who are truly there for you. This is why you would hardly see a man shade a tear or show a symbol of weakness, well, it can be quite cool and even attractive but for how long. Don't fail to forget we can remain tough for long, for we are only humans.
Don't get me all wrong or misjudge me but the only I am saying is open up to someone for we can't always bottle it up within ourselves, cause it can be too much of a burden to bear alone. And in all things, always remember that companionship and a community based on individuals who respect and admire one thing or another can help in sharpening your inbuilt horoscope for determining good or evil. SMILES😊
Interesting debate. I don't believe in good or bad, wrong or right. I just live my life with that mindset.
