[WE 132] I Want To Have A Siberian Husky If I Just Could

If someone asked me what my favorite breed of dog is, my answer would be a Siberian husky.

If you could buy and keep any animal, what would it be and why? The animal can be any that has ever existed on Earth or any other planet you've been to. Answer in at least 300 words.

Who wouldn't love them, right? Just look at how they are intelligent, good-looking, and friendly. That is my biggest dream to acquire, but it seems like it's not yet the right time. You are not considered human if you don't like them. Haha, I was kidding. I always get jealous whenever I see their intimate relationship with their owners. Some dog owners revealed that if they could label a breed that is the most dramatic, most would say it's a husky. Every time I see the owners hugging them, the husky looks happy, and I can't help to say "Sana all" or "Hope All" in English.

For those who have cynophobia or who hate them for personal reasons, they would like them. Cynophobia is a term used to describe people with an overwhelming fear or phobia of dogs. My cousin thought her mom got a phobia after being bitten by a dog during her teenage days. But as a human who loves to watch TikTok videos about their funny gestures, I always wondered if I could have the capability to adopt this kind of breed.

I now have an Aspin (or Asong Pinoy) named Primo. My family adopted him from our relatives, but he considered me his owner as I'm always feeding and walking him to a place where he can pee and poo. About his characteristics, he's alert, brave, and likes eating food. He can eat almost everything since he's not a picky eater as long it's not prohibited. Besides that, they also have a greater lifespan, and our family treats them like our personal bodyguards.

Although I wanted to keep a Siberian Husky in our small sweet home, I could not. It's not that I dislike them, but I have my reasons. Speaking of reasons, here are my reasons why I feel that I can't adapt them.

  • High maintenance about their food. They said that if you want to live your pet with a special breed longer, you should give them the proper care. Primo (my dog) can live longer, although he eats leftovers, and most of the time, I'm opening him a can of sardines or corn beef with spoiled rice. But I could not provide for his needs if I adopted a Husky. I'm not yet rich, so adopting him is not a good decision.
  • Requires training. Of course, the huskies we see on the internet would not be prevented if their owners didn't train them properly. I'm not pretty patient with training them, so having Siberian Husky would not suit me. If I am just rich, I think I would hire a professional dog trainer designs for teaching them good manners.

Contrarily, I believe that if you want to have this kind of breed, you should be ready financially. Taking care of Siberian Huskies counts not only on our financial stability but also on their environment. It looks like petting them is equal to your responsibility of raising a child. Sad to say that some of my relatives belittled Primo (my dog) while I was providing for his needs. They always look at them as not important since they have their own life too. I'm not financially prepared to have these kinds of pets, so the only way to support them is by watching their cute videos. How about you? What is the animal you want to keep?

Oh Gosh, I also like Husky but yeah they are so high maintenance that my poor wallet would not be able to take of them properly. I always watch them on FB and hoe they are so dramatic but they are all sweet too and naughty, lol

Ako rin te. Ayaw kong mag-alaga ng ganyan kasi magastos pero kung pede lang talaga mag-alaga ng may breed if money is not an issue, go ako.

I have cynophobia too except if the dog isn't a dangerous one but friendly and who doesn't bite. There is a dog at my aunt's place, it is so gentle and do not bite. Also a playful one. I think I like those kinds of dog.

Bringing up husky dogs or any breed of that requires a lot especially food because they have to be well fed with nutritious meal.

I don't have a cynophobia because I was already used with them since I was a child. I like to have them, but I know that I can't treat them well. If money is not an issue, then I would go!

The Siberian husky is also one of the animals I would love to have, although I have heard it's very expensive to buy one and also to take care of them, but I won't mind getting one in the future if I have the money for it. They are very delightful creatures
