The Stampede Ability - Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge
Hello all Splinterlands warlocks, I am very happy to be back active here once again, after a long inactivity with my blogging, I am excited to write here and participate in the Splinterlands weekly challenge. Today, I write to participate in the battle mage secrets weekly challenge and for this week, we have the Stampede as our ruleset. Stay tuned and watch out for my entry here in this battle.
Before we commence with the battle, we have to briefly discuss the ruleset of the battle we are going to have.
The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed. Higher HP and speed are the key to this ruleset. Dispel helps to remove Trample. It is good to make good use of monsters of higher speed so as to attack faster before your enemy does so. Also, putting an opportunity monster in your line-up is also a good option.
Other rulesets were also given in the battle I would be sharing and they are the Equal Opportunity and Up Close & Personal rulesets.
Summoner Used:
I went for the Kelya Frendul Summoner which adds one speed and an Armor to all friendly monsters. It is a good summoner to implement when it comes to this kind of ruleset because the Armor can prevent a direct attack on your health when the opponent's monster attacks by melee damage. This summoner costs 4 mana and it is a level one card. With my line-up I had three monsters and they were Coastal Sentry, Relenor Cleaver, and Venator Kinjo. My opponent had five strong monsters in his lineup and when I saw that, I knew I was going to lose that battle. Lo and behold, I lost that battle at the end of round four, lol.
Battle Rounds
First: In the first round, after all the monsters have taken effects from the summoners, my opponent's first monster (Diemonshark) attack my first positioned monster with two melee damage. Coastal Sentry which was my first position monster also double attacked and inflicted 6 damages to its armor.
Venator Kinjo then attack my opponent's second position monster after which Relenor Cleaver also attacked the same monster with four melee damage. My opponent's monsters then attacked and damaged my first position monster which was left with just 2 more healths to go before we entered into the second round.
Second: In the second round, Diemonshark from my opponent's monsters then attacked and eliminated my monster (Coastal Sentry) with a single attack, and with the trample ability it further went ahead and attacked my next monster, Relenor Cleaver.
Venari Kinjo then attacked my opponent's second-positioned monster after which Relenor Cleaver then attacked the first-positioned monster in my opponent's lineup team. One of my monsters was eliminated in this round and I was left with just two monsters to go. My opponent's monsters then attacked me continuously and damaged 6 armor from my first positioned monster.
Third:
In the third round, Diemonshark attacked first as usual and damaged my armor on the Relenor Cleaver monster after which Venari Kinjo also attacked the second-positioned monster but couldn't eliminate it as expected. The Relenor Cleaver monster also attacked Diemonshark and it was left with just one health to die but it was unfortunate.
Before the fourth round, my opponent's monsters attacked and damaged almost all the health of my first positioned monster which was left with a health. That was when I realized I couldn't win this battle no matter what happened.
Fourth:
In this round, with just an attack from Diemonshark, the Relenor Cleaver monster was eliminated and then the trample ability triggered it to attack the Venari Kinjo monster too.
Venari Kinjo was able to eliminate Diemonshark but to no avail because it couldn't save me from losing the battle. It was a good battle and I have learned my lessons from the battle. I would make sure to better my lineup team whenever this ruleset is provided again in any of my subsequent battles. Check out the battle link here
