Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Theme: Rebellion!
Hello all Splinterlands warlocks, I am excited to write here and participate in the Splinterlands weekly challenge. Today, I write to participate in the Splinterlands Social Media Weekly Challenge and for this week, we have the theme; the rebellion packs. This theme was given last week as well but then I couldn't join to participate in the first edition.
Rebellion packs as we have seen from Splinterlands posts, it's a new set of cards that will be launched in 20 days' time or after all the rebellion presale packs are bought out from the market. The presale was launched on the 18th of this month and as of now we still have 219,083 packs yet to be sold before the new set is launched into Splinterlands game.
I haven't purchased any rebellion pack yet but I have the intention to do so before the deadline day approaches. So far more than half of the packs that were kept in the market for the presale have been bought and now we are left with the amount mentioned above. It is known that 96 new sets of cards will be rebellion cards and they can be gotten from the packs purchased.
The new set of cards is bringing along new abilities to the game and they are Flank, Lookout, Armored Strike, and Corrosive Ward.
Each rebellion pack is going to contain 5 random cards with at least one rare card among them which is guaranteed. Also, some of the summoners will introduce new abilities such as the dual-element, and the summoner tactics. The flank ability will allow second-position units to gain reachability if the flank ability monster is in the first position. Lookout ability will also allow adjacent allies to take less damage from attackers with the opportunity, snipe, and sneak abilities. The armored strike ability also allows monsters to gain additional melee attacks per their Armost stat. Corrosive Ward ability will also permit units to damage the attacker's armor by 2 and then reduce the maximum armor of the attacker by 2 again. Wow, this is going to be interesting in the upcoming days.
I have spoken about the rebellion without saying anything yet about the price and how to purchase, okay here we have it. In order to purchase a rebellion pack, you need 5000 DEC or Credits to do so. Mind you, there is a discount opportunity too where you can purchase one with 4000 DEC or Credit with 5 Vouchers. This reduces the overall costs by 20% discount for each rebellion pack purchased. Since this is a presale, there is a promo bonus for the number of purchases made during this period. Purchasing 10 or more rebellion packs would grant you the chance to win a Grimbardun Smith monster and purchasing 100 or more rebellion packs would also grant you the chance to earn a Mantaroth monster which I would share their image below where you can see their stats.
Also, the Splinterlands team has also allocated spots for the 250 people on the leaderboard for which after the presale is over, they will earn some titles and opportunities. These are given below;
Position 1 - 30 - "The Dawnbringer" Legendary Title
Position 31 - 100 - "The Defiant" Epic Title
Position 101 - 250 - "The Rebel" Rare Title
You should note that the first 6, that is the top six would be given the chance to create or design a legendary summoner card of their choice which is a great opportunity to find your name among the Splinterlands summoners. This is the time and the opportunity to grab some rebellion packs down before it's too late. Don't waste this opportunity, probably by next week I will try to get some rebellion packs into my account before the presale is over.
