Splinterlands Social Media Challenge | Captain Katie, the last standing monster
Hello all Splinterlands warlocks, I am excited to write here and participate in the Splinterlands weekly challenge. Today, I write to participate in the Splinterlands Social Media Weekly Challenge and for this week, we have the theme to be about sharing your battle that you like. Without much anticipation, I will set the ball rolling.
I will write and share a battle link where I used the Captain Katie monster to play a battle and show you how the battle went. Let's briefly look at the ruleset of the battle. The ruleset for the battle was Up to Eleven.
Summoner Used: OBSIDIAN
I used the Franz Ruffmane summoner which is a Chaos Legion summoner. This summoner costs 6 mana and it is a level-three card. It gives all monsters one armor protection and also grants the ability to add a Gladius monster to the lineup. With my line-up, I had four monsters: Iziar, Spirit Hoarder, Venari Crystalsmith, and Captain Katie. My opponent had five monsters in his lineup: Drybone Barbarian, War Pegasus, Venari Crystalsmith, Time Mage, and Gargoya Scrapper.
Battle Rounds This battle lasted for three rounds and I would share what transpired in all the rounds in this post. Before the first round started, all monsters had their effects from the summoners.
First:
In the first round, the Time Mage monster with the highest speed attacked my Iziar monster but missed its attack and that was due to the void ability of the Iziar monster. Subsequent attacks were followed and Drybone Barbarian attacked and damaged 8 health from the Iziar monster.
Venari Crystalsmith monster was able to restore four health on my Iziar monster before the round ended.
Second:
In this round, the Time Mage monster with the highest speed attacked first with the magic damage after which the War Pegasus monster also attacked the Iziar monster. The Drybone Barbarian finally attacked and eliminated the Iziar monster after gaining the enrage stats which increased its melee attack damage to 8.
At the end of the round, one of my monsters was eliminated whilst my opponent had all five monsters still intact.
Third:
In this round, I never expected to win the battle because except Captain Katie, the two remaining monsters were too weak to help me win the battle.
The Drybone Barbarian monster eliminated my Spirit Hoarder monster in this round. Captain Katie was able to eliminate the War Pegasus monster as well after which it increased in all stats. At the end of the round, I was left with two monsters while my opponent had four.
Fourth to eighth:
In this round, Captain Katie was able to eliminate another monster from my opponent's lineup, and my Venari Crystalsmith monster was eliminated as well.
In round six, Captain Katie eliminated the Drybone Barbarian monster and that was when I had the hope and belief to win this battle. The next two rounds were easy for Captain Katie to eliminate the two remaining monsters in my opponent's lineup.
The battle ended, and I won it after the eighth round.
Captain Katie at the last position in the lineup is a good strategy to put in play in your battles. Battle link here
