"Getting rid of my footprint "

Embarrassment is a disease that one needs to avoid just like their is a saying that prevention is better than cure. Embarrassment is part of once life but u need to try to get rid of it before it becomes an illness you can't cure.

During my high school days I happen to be a very popular person that almost everyone if not all in my school knows me because of my hard work, I have a friend called pius we've known each other since from home before meeting in school.

when we were in ss2 their is this subject that's very hard for me I won't speak for others but I couldn't cope with the subject though so we had a test on the subject normally I don't know what to write or solve because it's a calculating subject ( further maths ) after the test I knew I wrote rubbish but this my friend pius did something unbelievable after the test on Friday.

the staff left our test books and went home so pius without my consent went to the staff room took my test book and his own went and corrected it all then told me what he did that I shouldn't let anyone know I said ok but my mind was never at peace after hearing that so all my prayers is for the staff not to notice anything but what he did was very clear because he didn't do any mistakes in the calculation.

so after some weeks she marked the test and brought it to class to distribute everyone's test book after she gave everyone his or her own she held our own separate, immediately my mind began to beat very fast I said it has happened then immediately she called our names and ask us to see her in the staff room after the lesson is over.

So my class mate where hailing us that we performed well that's why she ask us to see her but deep down I knew what was going to happen if we go to see her in the staff room. When we went all the staffs were seated I was ashamed of my self already and felt disappointed so she ask us to kneel before her and we did, then she said we should tell her the truth and she won't do anything to us then my friend now explained to her what he did without putting me in the picture but she said a friend of a thief is a thief so she dealt with us mercilessly without pity and the staff in the staff room join her to punish us severely.

I was so embarrass with that, but it didn't end there the following week on Monday morning she reported us to the school authority where the call us out in front of the whole student and drill us without pity I could still remember they gave each of us 10 strokes of the Cain it was during December period just imagine how cold that period was again I was so devastated and feeling blues with the way our juniors were looking at us I was so so ashamed because punishing me also shows we both are guilty, since then I've decided to abstain my self from such a communicable disease(act).

Like I've said before prevention is better than cure so stay on your lane to safe ur self the blues you will will go through. Thank you for reading.
