NWM:Crocheting mittens for this winter.

Greetings to everyone in this community #needleworkmonday.Hope you all are doing great and enjoying the weather.
As the chill of the weather is increasing we all are craving something cozy and warm.Fall has always been my favourite part of the year for so many reasons.This is the season for which every crocheter waits.This the time of year where their craft truly shines.
As this is my first year as a crocheter so I was very excited for the season.I started crocheting this year and my ultimate goal was making myself things that are wearable.So now it's my time to show my skills that i practiced in past few months.
Not gonna lie i am not a expert in crochet.I am still in my learning phase so I am trying to start with smaller items like these mittens that i crocheted.

I made these mittens fingerless because they are more functional then the mittens with fingers.These mittens are perfect for keeping your hands warm while allowing you to use your fingers.
I used the colours black and white for my project cause this contrase is very trending right now.I have seen many girls in my university wearing this colour so i handmade them.
The pattern was very clear so i made them both in just one day.Yesterday my university was off so i made them last night and clicked some pictures today.
I started by making the ribbon part first which was just sc and 14 rows and then i attached both the sides according to the size of my arm.

Then i started the top part which included both the hdc and sc.The stitches were easy for me but the most annoying part was changing the colour.The pattern was like row 1 change colour than row 2 change colour and i was like please don't do this to me.
I completed the first glove and then I was like I can't do that anymore.I told my sister i am going to make the other mitten in one colour only and she laughed so hard and requested me not to do so.So i completed it somehow with two colours.

And that the final result.

I loved them alot and I can't wait to show them to my friends.I also shared some pictures with my mom and she loved them alot.She also used to do crochet in her 20's so she always motivate me and appreciate my work.
She also ordered me to make her a scarf and a beanie for my little brother but i have not started that project yet because she is not gonna pay me anyways.(just kidding)
