During the annual general meeting, the publicity officer called out for additional funds from the executive committee because during his rounds in the neighbourhood after talking to the residents, found out that many of the residents did not receive the annual membership gift from the committee.

The chairman was puzzled as he did get the treasurer to disburse the necessary funds to ensure that every single resident whom is a member will receive the gift. However, when counter check against the figure that was disbursed, the publicity officer only received 50% of what the chairman instructed to disburse.

And with that understanding, the chairman realized that something is fishy as he might dealing with a dishonest treasurer. He then summoned for the accounts and the transactions records. After detailed checking, he called for the police and handed the treasurer to them.
