Exploring the Historic Villa dei Cedri in Valdobbiadene
Hello friends of this beautiful community,
Today I wanted to share with you this post and these photos that I took at Villa dei Cedri in Valdobbiadene, we are in the province of Treviso, and this villa, dating back to the 1800s, is also known as Villa Piva. It is located right in the historical center of Valdobbiadene. I remember that this location in the Veneto region, with its surrounding landscape, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This villa has a fairly recent history as it dates back to the 1800s. Initially, it was part of a spinning mill located near the villa. Later on, Pietro Piva acquired the property and further expanded the villa. Subsequently, the villa came under the ownership of the municipality of Valdobbiadene, which currently uses it for events, exhibitions, and shows held during specific periods of the year.
In my next post, I will show you what I found inside this beautiful villa when I visited it during the Christmas season. It's a nice way, in my opinion, to appreciate this place. The structure is also accessible externally, and there is a beautiful park that is open from 8:00 practically every day of the year. As you can see from the photos I shared, the villa is well-maintained, and several restorations have probably been carried out over the years.
Perhaps the park could use a small renovation and be reconsidered in another way because I found it a bit integrated, but it probably depends on the period. Maybe they will improve it for spring and summer.
I hope you enjoyed the photos I shared with you and the story of this beautiful place. I hope you have the opportunity to visit. See you in my next post, wishing you all a happy Sunday.
