Hello friends of this fantastic community,

Dear fellow travelers,

In this post, yes, I want to introduce you to a place that some of you may already recognize if you follow me on YouTube. I had previously made some videos about this city, which is underrated from a tourist perspective but holds many hidden gems.

But in reality, I want to take you on a journey to discover this flea market for used items and books, which is organized in this place every second Sunday of the month. Lately, it has become quite a popular tradition to organize these markets where used items are sold - objects that are sometimes still functional and can definitely find a second life, as well as books that can certainly be useful to someone.

So, I woke up early enough and headed towards the town of Lonigo, in the province of Vicenza. A town with about twenty thousand inhabitants, filled with great expectations for this market. However, as soon as I arrived, I discovered that there were very few stalls displaying these products, and this was a major disappointment.

The only positive thing, as you can see from the photos, is that Lonigo is indeed a beautiful town rich in history. But in reality, there were very few market stalls, practically only in the main square. Although I must say that some of them were selling very interesting things. For example, I found one stall that had a wide selection of books with beautiful illustrations. These were books that surely had great value some time ago, but the merchant told me that he is selling them off now because people are not very interested in buying them.

After spending about an hour exploring all these market stalls, I also took a walk around Lonigo. I can say that it's a lively small town, as there were lots of people crowding the bar and pubs in the area overlooking the square. Then, I walked along the main street that leads to a large park, which used to be used for training horses and hosting fairs.

In reality, this place has now become a park that probably serves the locals for some physical activities. People also come here to walk their dogs, and nearby, there is a small playground for children to have fun.

I have to say that in the end, I was a bit disappointed because I had high expectations for this market. However, I took the opportunity to explore this small town, which still has many things to discover. And I also took some photos to share with you here.

Below, I'll leave you with some useful tourist information about this city:https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lonigo

In the meantime, I thank you for reading this post, and I hope you found it interesting and that it has introduced you to another place in my country that, in my opinion, is worth visiting. See you soon!
