Mundial Sub 20 y nuevamente el racismo (SPA-ENG)
Como ya he mencionado en otras oportunidades, me gustaría hablar solamente del mundial juvenil Sub 20 que se está llevando a cabo en mi país. Sin embargo las noticias sobre problemas raciales y políticos continúan golpeando fuertemente a esta actividad tan importante para la vida de las personas como lo es el deporte en general y el fútbol en particular, el más importante o al menos el más difundido en todas partes del mundo.
Respecto a los octavos de final de esta copa del mundo, finalizaron ayer con los dos últimos encuentros, en el primero hubo, al menos para mi, una gran sorpresa, la eliminación de Ecuador a manos de Corea del Sur, no pude ver el encuentro así que solo mencionaré algunos comentarios y estadísticas que indican que Ecuador manejó la pelota, el ritmo y el tiempo de juego pero fue ineficaz a la hora de definir, pateó al arco en 26 oportunidades aunque solo 5 de ellas llegaron a la portería contraria, por otra parte Corea solo pateó 8 veces y convirtió 3 goles de los 4 remates que fueron dirigidos entre los tres palos. Eficacia de los asiáticos y juego intrascendente de los sudamericanos. El resultado final fue 3 a 2 en favor de Corea.
El otro encuentro que restaba para concluir esta fase resultó en el triunfo para Uruguay contra Gambia, una de las sorpresas del torneo; el partido fue parejo e intensamente disputado, por momento un tanto caldeado lo que motivó la expulsión de un jugador por bando. Fue 1 a 0 en favor de nuestros hermanos del otro lado del charco, como solemos decir por estos lados.
Bien, ahora tengo mi favorito aunque no pareciera que Uruguay tenga chances reales de coronarse campeón, el favorito de muchos incluida la prensa especializada sigue siendo Brasil pese a su sorpresiva caída frente a Italia en el debut.
De esta manera los cuartos de final quedaron definidos y a los encuentros entre Brasil vs. Israel y Colombia vs. Italia que se desarrollarán en el día de mañana, Nigeria enfrentará a Corea del Sur y Estados Unidos a Uruguay el domingo 4/6.
Siguiendo con el mundial pero ahora hablando del otro tema que necesito tocar; el día de los encuentros por octavos de final hubo dos hechos que no tuvieron trascendencia en los medios internacionales, probablemente porque este torneo no despierta el interés general. Al término del encuentro entre Nigeria y Argentina, algunos jugadores nigerianos tuvieron gestos desagradables y desgraciados contra los simpatizantes argentinos, además de sacar la lengua hicieron el clásico gesto de cortar la garganta con un cuchillo adelante de las tribunas locales. El segundo hecho ocurrió al finalizar el encuentro donde Brasil resultó triunfador por un amplio resultado, al retirarse los jugadores brasileños y ante la tribuna que en todo momento alentó a sus rivales, algunos levantaron la mano mostrando los 5 dedos extendidos en señal inequívoca de los 5 títulos mundiales que ostenta el país vecino. No hay demasiados inconvenientes con esto, es solo un gesto irreflexivo de unos jóvenes embriagados por el éxito, pero si debemos tener en cuenta dos cosas; la primera es que pudieron haber generado actos de violencia, cosa que por suerte no ocurrió y la segunda es que estos mismos jugadores y hasta la propia FIFA luego protestan y se muestran inflexibles ante situaciones consideradas racistas cuando desde las tribunas se lanzan improperios considerados como tales. Si FIFA reacciona bien en un sentido, debería hacer lo mismo en el otro, eso es justicia.
Por último un hecho que trascendió ayer a última hora, el árbitro designado por la UEFA para dirigir la esperada final de esa importantísima copa que se disputará el próximo 10/6, me refiero al polaco Szymon Marciniak quien también dirigió la final del mundial de Qatar en diciembre pasado, ha sido instado a explicar su participación y promoción en un acto organizado por Slawomir Mentzen, el líder polaco de extrema derecha. Rápida de reflejos, la UEFA emitió un comunicado repudiando los valores promovidos por el grupo al cual Mentzen dirige. Según se supo, en estos momento tanto la UEFA como la FIFA están analizando reemplazar al reconocido árbitro, a pocos días del decisivo encuentro.
Como ven amigos, no todo son buenas noticias en el mundo del fútbol y eso que solo he tocado algunos pocos temas.
Pero sigamos mencionando las cosas buenas, la organización del mundial es hasta ahora óptima, teniendo en cuenta el escaso tiempo disponible para hacerlo. Esto puede abrir una gran puerta para la organización del mundial de mayores en el año 2030 para el que se han propuesto en forma conjunta Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile y Argentina, es obvio que se puede, solo resta esperar el visto bueno de la autoridades que rigen los destinos del fútbol mundial.
Sub 20 World Cup and racism again
As I have already mentioned on other occasions, I would like to talk only about the Under 20 youth world cup that is taking place in my country. However, the news about racial and political problems continues to hit this activity as important to people's lives as a sport in general and soccer in particular, the most important or at least the most widespread in all parts of the world.
Regarding the round of 16 of this world cup, they ended yesterday with the last two matches, in the first there was, at least for me, a big surprise, the elimination of Ecuador at the hands of South Korea, I could not see the match so I will only mention some comments and statistics that indicate that Ecuador handled the ball, the rhythm and the playing time but was ineffective at the time of defining, they kicked on goal in 26 opportunities although only 5 of them reached the opposite goal, for On the other hand, Korea only kicked 8 times and converted 3 goals out of the 4 shots that were directed between the three posts. The efficiency of the Asians and the inconsequential play of the South Americans. The final result was 3 to 2 in favor of Korea.
The other match that remained to conclude this phase resulted in the victory for Uruguay against Gambia, one of the surprises of the tournament; The match was even and intensely contested, at times a bit heated, which led to the expulsion of one player per side. Continuing with the World Cup but now talking about another topic that I need to touch on; On the day of the matches for the round of 16, there were two events that had no significance in the international media, probably because this tournament does not arouse general interest. At the end of the match between Nigeria and Argentina, some Nigerian players made unpleasant and unfortunate gestures against the Argentine supporters, in addition to sticking out their tongues, they made the classic gesture of cutting their throats with a knife in front of the local stands. The second event occurred at the end of the match where Brazil was victorious by a wide result, when the Brazilian players withdrew and in front of the rostrum that at all times encouraged their rivals, some raised their hands showing the 5 fingers extended as an unequivocal sign of the 5 world titles held by the neighboring country. There are not too many drawbacks to this, it is just a thoughtless gesture of some young people intoxicated by success, but we must take two things into account; The first is that they could have generated acts of violence, which luckily did not happen, and the second is that these same players and even FIFA itself later protest and are inflexible in situations considered racist when insults considered as such are launched from the stands. If FIFA reacts well in one sense, it should do the same in the other, that's fair.
Finally, a fact that came to light yesterday at the last minute, the referee appointed by UEFA to direct the expected final of that very important cup that will be played on 10/6, I am referring to the Polish Szymon Marciniak who also directed the World Cup final in Qatar last December, he was asked to explain his participation and promotion at an event organized by Slawomir Mentzen, the Polish far-right leader. As you can see, friends, not everything is good news in the world of football, and I have only touched on a few topics.
But let's keep mentioning the good things, the organization of the World Cup is optimal so far, taking into account the little time available to do it. This can open a great door for the organization of the Senior World Cup in the year 2030 for which Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, and Argentina have jointly proposed, it is obvious that it can be done, all that remains is to wait for the approval of the authorities that govern the destinies of world football.

No hay educación por ninguna parte, todos se enfocan en lo que sucede de la grada hacia el campo y nadie señala lo que va desde el campo hacia la grada y lo peor es que muchos señalan ambas situaciones como "Cosas del Fútbol" o te critican diciendo "Nunca estuviste en una cancha" o usan ese término "lo que sucede en el campo de juego se queda ahí" y creo que ninguna de esas cosas son válidas para este deporte, ni antes, ni mucho menos ahora.
No comporta ese asunto de códigos en dónde no se puede denunciar insultos y demás gestos entre jugadores, público hacia jugadores y viceversa, no todo puede permitirse porque lamentablemente así como hay subnormales en el público que esperan lo mínimo para insultar, sea racismo u otra índole, también está el jugador que no debe tener de excusa su juventud.
En esta temporada he visto un retroceso brutal con respecto al comportamiento del público y jugadores en el fútbol.
Sin querer entrar en polémicas, el comportamiento de las masas es más difícil de manejar, en un estadio de fútbol o de cualquier otro deporte, en una manifestación, inclusive en una asamblea cualquiera puede exaltarse y contagiar a otros. Por eso la prevención es muy importante se llame fuerzas de seguridad pública, privada o los ahora muy utilizados colaboradores ad-honorem. Lo que si se puede manejar con mayor facilidad es el comportamiento de los jugadores, solo requiere mayores penas para los que provocan al público o a integrantes del equipo rival. Eso no se está controlando debidamente.
