Hostería y viñedos Mirador Huancache - Gualjaina - Chubut - Patagonia Argentina
Diez días de paseo y visita a la familia y amigos.
No nos cansamos de visitar la Patagonia y menos todavía cuando nos reunimos con nuestro hijo y su familia, principalmente nuestro único nieto de casi 2 años. También tenemos amigos que se mudaron a estos maravillosos parajes patagónicos hace ya más de 20 años.
Teniendo alojamiento asegurado es mucho más fácil y económico el viaje, rápido también si vamos en avión. En dos horas estamos en el viejo, pequeño e incómodo aeropuerto de Esquel cuya remodelación lleva bastante tiempo y aún no termina.
Pero una vez ubicados todo es disfrutar, de la compañía y de los paisajes únicos de ese lugar tan privilegiado en el mundo.
Como en otra oportunidad anterior fuimos a pasar 3 días a Gualjaina, un pequeño pueblo al cual se llega desde Esquel por la ruta que va a Bariloche y luego por un tramo por un camino de tierra y piedras (ripio) de unos 35 kilómetros donde el automóvil sufre un poco, pero yendo despacio y con precaución es un viaje tranquilo y sin peligros.
El paraje se adentra en la estepa patagónica por lo que la vegetación y las montañas van cambiando su fisonomía desde la exuberancia de los alrededores del parque nacional Los Alerces, el clima cambia rápidamente, es mucho más seco, las montañas decrecen en altura a medida que nos alejamos de la precordillera camino al este y la vegetación se hace más achaparrada predominando los arbustos y espinillos.
Pero en la pequeña localidad de Gualjaina hay dos ríos que corren muy cerca y aportan nuevamente humedad, los árboles vuelven a ser altos, frondosos y verdes, apenas por unos pocos kilómetros.
En medio de ese lugar alejado de los principales centros turísticos se encuentra la hostería y viñedos Mirador Huancache donde nos adentramos en un mundo distinto, el de las vides y el vino, a su alrededor un complejo de habitaciones muy cómodas y confortables con un gran quincho con asador, parrillas, heladeras y hasta una cocina económica a leña de principio del siglo XX totalmente funcional. completa el lugar de encuentro y reuniones para comer, un tenis de mesa y un metegol, además de varios juegos de salón.
Pero lo que más atrae por supuesto son sus viñedos, varios tipos de uva, bastante jóvenes aun, pero con todas las ganas de sus dueños de elaborar vino de calidad. Está el edificio donde se elabora y una cava enterrada en el suelo que posee capacidad para una buena cantidad de botellas cómodamente ubicadas durmiendo el tiempo necesario para que la magia se realice y tengamos vinos exquisitos dignos del paladar más exigente.
El paseo entre las vides primero y en la bodega después, es digno de realizar, principalmente para aquellos que no conocen el proceso de elaboración desde sus inicios en las plantas hasta ser procesado, envasado y almacenado.
Para los que desean descansar y olvidarse del trajín del mundo moderno también hay una pileta de natación, una pequeña laguna artificial, una gran área parquizada, además se ofrecen excursiones con el único guía certificado de la zona hacia varios lugares de gran interés, geológico y paleontológico, cerca se encuentra La Caldera, con diversas formaciones rocosas de varios millones de años de antigüedad, a pocos kilómetros están Piedra Parada, la Buitrea y el Saltillo que hacen las delicias de los visitantes, el trekking, el rapel y la pesca con mosca son los principales atractivos.
Un pueblo de apenas 3.000 habitantes que está haciendo del turismo su principal fuente de ingresos, todavía les falta mucho por aprender y desarrollar, pero la idea está presente y no me caben dudas que con el tiempo será un destino importante adicional en la bella provincia de Chubut.

Ten days of walking and visiting family and friends.
We never tire of visiting Patagonia and even less so when we meet with our son and his family, mainly our only grandson who is almost 2 years old. We also have friends who moved to these wonderful Patagonian places more than 20 years ago.
Secured accommodation makes the trip much easier cheaper and quicker if we go by plane. In two hours, we are at the old, small, and uncomfortable Esquel airport, whose remodeling has been taking a long time and is not yet finished.
But once located, everything is about enjoying the company and the unique landscapes of that privileged place in the world.
As on another previous occasion, we went to spend 3 days in Gualjaina, a small town that is reached from Esquel along the route that goes to Bariloche and then along a section of a dirt and stone road (gravel) of about 35 kilometers where the car suffers a little, but going slowly and carefully it is a calm and safe trip.
The place enters the Patagonian steppe so the vegetation and mountains change their appearance from the vitality of the surroundings of the Los Alerces National Park, the climate changes rapidly, it is much drier, and the mountains decrease in height as We move away from the foothills towards the east and the vegetation becomes more stunted, with bushes and thorns predominating.
But in the small town of Gualjaina, there are two rivers that run very close and provide humidity again, the trees are once again tall, leafy, and green, just for a few kilometers.
In the middle of that place far from the main tourist centers is the Mirador Huancache Inn and vineyards where we enter a different world, that of vines and wine, around it is a complex of very comfortable and comfortable rooms with a large barbecue area. with a barbecue, grills, refrigerators, and even a fully functional economical wood-burning kitchen from the beginning of the 20th century. Completes the meeting place and meetings for lunch, table tennis, and foosball, as well as several indoor games.
But what attracts the most of course are its vineyards, and various types of grapes, still quite young, but with all the desire of their owners to make quality wine. There is the building where it is made and a cellar buried in the ground that has the capacity for a good number of bottles comfortably located sleeping the necessary time for the magic to happen and we have exquisite wines worthy of the most demanding palate.
The walk among the vines first and in the winery later is worth doing, mainly for those who do not know the production process from its beginnings in the plants to be processed, packaged, and stored.
For those who want to rest and forget about the hustle and bustle of the modern world, there is also a swimming pool, a small artificial lagoon, a large landscaped area, and excursions are offered with the only certified guide in the area to several places of great interest, geological and paleontological, nearby is La Caldera, with various rock formations several million years old, a few kilometers away are Piedra Parada, Buitrea and Saltillo that delight visitors, trekking, rappelling and fly fishing They are the main attractions.
A town of barely 3,000 inhabitants making tourism its main source of income, they still have a lot to learn and develop, but the idea is present and I have no doubt that over time it will be an additional important destination in the beautiful province of Chubut.
