STEPPING OUT, REACHING OUT

Yesterday I was out on visitation with some friends, it’s been a while and it was funny how I only realized it when we got to the first hostel we visited. I’m a student and on Saturdays, we normally do have different activities lined out and one of them was visiting and yesterday, we visited those who are already in their final year in school. At first, I was a bit skeptical about going, that I wished I could not go but then, I also wanted to go because I knew it’s been a while I went to visit someone at their place.

While on the visit, I got to discover something beautiful about myself that needs transformation and that is me making room for reaching out to people as much as I want to, especially through knowing where they live. The joy in the hearts of the two persons we visited knew no bounds because we could literally see it on their faces and that automatically made us happy too. Maybe at first when they heard us knock at the door, they wished no one will disturb them but I’m very sure in the end they were happy we came.

This can be a very hard nut for me to crack but then, I have made up my mind that if it gets really hard, I will just try my best to always be available when it is the day for general visitation and hopefully with time it will become a part of me. But then, besides going to the houses of people, I can always make them happy. I know being alone can be nice sometimes but then, we can’t deny the fact that there are sometimes we wish someone or others were around us. Especially in our world today, this aspect of visitation has almost become something of least importance because everyone feels they have their own problems to worry about.

Leaving your comfort zone is one of the hardest things to do but sometimes when you do it, especially for a good course, you will be happy you did. Nowadays, from a distance when we look, it is as if everyone is doing very well on their own but I tell you, that’s very far from the case of some people. It is even harder now because, nobody likes it when it feels like someone is encroaching into their space but that shouldn’t stop you from paying unexpected visits to people, you don’t know what you might be doing for them, bearing in mind that change is always challenged before it is accepted or even rejected.

How does my minimalist practices affect this transformation? Well, if there is one thing that minimalist practices has thought me, it is been able to preserve earth in the most simple and efficient way. I believe that putting a smile on someone’s face is one of the simplest way to do that. My goal now is to make out time as much as I can, to make people happy. It can either be through visiting them or through a simple message that warms their hearts and even by giving them a gift that will just make them feel happy.

For me, transformation will not be transformation if people are not affected either positively or negatively by it. Making an impact in those simple ways which will be hard for people to take note of is my goal to a transformed life because those are the things that are most neglected but with my lifestyle as a minimalist, I’m often reminded about the little things that make the difference. I don’t believe that at this point I need a big change, what I need is fixing those little holes because they are the ones often neglected.

It’s another beautiful new and it’s a perfect opportunity for me to start my transformation journey and I hope you find yours too and get on with it. I wish you all the best ❤️.

Visitation is lovely and cool.
Back then in university, I love how watchman charismatic church visit their members every Saturday.
In some cases that person wants to be alone, but something must have triggered the isolation, once they visit them and just talk.
The person's mood brightens.

Good you enjoyed your participation.
Keep up with the good work 😊

Yeah, most persons like to be isolated not because they want to, it is most times due to some things they have been through and they definitely need someone to bring them out of their shell and it’s a privilege to be one of those who do it.

Thank you for stopping by ma’am 🥰
