GETTING WEEK 2 TASK DONE || MARKETFRIDAY

Today was a really fun day at the market for me, I had so many adventures while trying to get some things for the house and also going on my scavenger hunt 😁😁.
When I got to the local market, it was crowded as always. There was so much rush from every corner, I was not feeling too well but I had to go to the market to get some food stuffs for the house.
I planned on preparing vegetable soup but unfortunately the vegetables were expensive and I wasn't sure how much to buy so I decided to prepare something else. I decided to prepare Fried melon soup.
I was so happy when I went to buy the meat from the person I normally buy from and the price was so suitable for me unlike the last time. I normally but for $2.5 but today I bought for $2.14 which is lower than last time.
After getting the meat for the soup, I went for the melon which happens to be the same price ($0.83). I also got the other necessary items for the soup and I spent approximately $5 for the soup and I spent approximately $30 for other home items.
After getting all the items I need for the house, I then went for my SCAVENGER HUNT 😜😜.

At first I was not sure of what I was looking out for to hunt but thanks to @dreemsteem I got an idea of how it's supposed to be. For the hunt, I was to look for something bubbly, something prickly, something that smells nice and lastly, something that called my name.
Something bubbly and something calling my name 😁😜...
I had a really great search to get something bubbly but luckily for me after much search, I found something bubbly and it happens to also be something that called my name too. I'm sure you are wondering what that could be and trust me, it might also call your name, lolz. The something bubbly I found was packs of Fanta.
They were so many that I could barely resist, I only stopped myself from getting one because I'm having pains in my tonsil (mouth).
I was passing through the place where they distribute these packs Fanta to the wholesalers. They were looking so beautiful and bubbly at the same time, I could hear some voices in my head telling me to go get one pack but if I get it how I'm I going to pay and even enjoy them, when I'm feeling so much pains in my mouth, so I couldn't get any, after all its a hunt not for me to feed myself right? hehe 😂😂.
Something prickly...
I had so many things in mind for something prickly but I had to go for the one I could easily get a photo for and that happens to be Crayfish. While I was getting some for the house, I just remembered the hunt and something prickly and I quickly took a shot to show y'all ☺️☺️. Like you all know Crayfish can be very prickly, just touching it rashly can cause it to prick your hands so I decided to go for it as something prickly.
Something that smells nice...
Going on this hunt made my time at the market really fun and funny, I had to walk to and from just looking for the perfect items for my hunt but I still couldn't get a perfect shot of something that smells nice but fortunately for me, I got something the previous day that smells really nice and it's a passion petroleum jelly.
I'm sure just few persons know what this is, as the name sounds, it is a cream, an oily cream but the perfume used for it smells really really nice.

oh my goodness - that is a MOUNTAIN of Fanta!!! I can taste the orange flavor on my tongue! hehehe its so tasty - but right now i'm not having any sugar or any soda hahahaha

Yes is indeed a mountain, I couldn't help but notice them. So sad you can't have them too, hehe.
Yes, I got some shrimp and it made the food really tasty but the sad part is I couldn't even taste it because of the pains I'm having but my brother says it's delicious 🥰.

Yes I'm having the pains for real, I couldn't eat any food yesterday, it hurts really bad.
And yes I do have tonsillitis.

Not yet, I'm using antibacterial first and surprisingly it's working, the pains has reduced when I woke up this morning.

Your tonsillitis sucks though. One time I lost my sense of taste and smell (it was just extreme cold not covid lol) cooking food and not being able to taste anything was absolute torture so I can actually imagine what you are going through.

Yes the tonsillitis really sucks badly, I wasn't able to eat anything yesterday but guess what, I'm eating now, I feel a little better now, I think the drugs worked.

Yeah fried melon soup, it's really delicious. I understand it might be strange to you but it's one of the major soups in my country, hehehe.

Good on you for finding the items. I would go for the Fanta too since it's a warm weather we are having. Just one bottle of that is enough for me though. I wonder what kind of aroma the petroleum jelly emits :)

I am so sorry about your tonsils! Do you have tonsilitis? I have never had it, but it can be pretty painful to swallow. On the other hand, I hope they are able to do something for you.
You did it! Woot! Woot! You did your Scavenger hunt! Good for you! I would never have guessed crayfish! My mind just kept going to a pineapple! You did really well, got everything and then! You even got food so that you could make pumpkin seed soup. Yummy! Well done!
My apologies for being so late this week! As you can see from my post, I was looking at a piece of property, probably three hours away from where I live and I had to go back several days in a row (spending all day there.) Six hours on the road and being there for hours took my entire day away, and here I am on Monday doing #MarketFriday! Sorry!

Great post you have here darling. Fanta never calls me though, the cousin Coca-Cola does😃. You are lucky to get red meat that is cheap. Red meat is very expensive in Lagos here. For a single meal you need about $5 worth of red meat. For something prickly, you nailed it. I hate when crayfish pricks me but I love the taste in my food😜. Passion powder smells really nice. Well done!
