EMBRACING INDIVIDUAL STRENGTH AND ABILITY

As humans, we always enjoy making things difficult for ourselves, we make things seem harder even when in the real sense it isn’t at all. Indeed working smart pays more than working hard. A lot of times we think it’s by how much strength we have or by how much we can do that we get better results but that is most times not how it works. Let’s take for instance, when you are given a job of assembling a thousand chairs together to be paid a certain amount of money, most times, the way we approach this is by doing the job on our own.

Meanwhile, we can look for others to help us assemble those chairs and from what we get paid, we can share some with them. Here is the thing, I know you might want the money all to yourself maybe for a specific purpose, but then that is not always the best option because, trying to do all that job by yourself, it will take you a lot of time and effort. And it might also hinder you from even getting other things done. But when you look for more hands to help you do that same job, you will save yourself the stress of getting exhausted and you will also save yourself more time.

Too bad, in the educational system, students are taught to put in just hard work and not teamwork. But I tell you, in the real world, there is need for more of teamwork and then less of hard work and that is what gives us smart work. The curriculum used in our various schools has almost been that way for as long as we can remember but then there has been a lot of changes in the real word especially when it comes to technology upgrades.

Before now, we didn’t need calculators to solve a math problem, we just make our brains do all the work and it was and it’s still cool. But then, in our today’s world, we make use of calculators for more accurate calculations. In the real world, no one will be mad at you if you made use of a calculator to sum up numbers but then, in schools, students are compared to use their brains for everything. Well, this is good, really good but then, we must also understand that everyone doesn’t have the same brain capability.

In fact, there are some children that are born with some brain syndromes that causes them to do way better than normal. In cases like this, these children even at a very young age can give answers to some questions that even some adults can’t understand not to say give an answer. Likewise, there are children that struggle in some aspects to understand some things they are being taught. They always find it hard to remember things they are taught and they end up doing poorly in their tests and exams.

The major suggestion I would love to give to our educational system is to know their students capacities and help them become the best in what they can do that is helpful to both themselves and the society. No matter how poor a student is going academically, there is always one or two other things they are good at. Personally, I always struggle with reading any academic related books but I can read something that isn’t necessarily for me to pass an exam.

I do better when it comes to practical related things but when it comes to theory, it’s a different ball game entirely. Unlike me, there are some persons that are very good when it comes to theories. And also there are some that need both before they can fully comprehend what they are being taught. Knowing this, I think the educational system can look more closer to what can help every student learn better than just using only one style of learning for everyone.

This is the much I have to say and I really do hope that the educational system will work on improving on their system of operations to help bring the best out of every individual. This is my response to the topic on ”A SMART STUDENT”.

I actually agree with you on this. There is this guy in my class that anytime a teacher asks him any question in class he can immediately explain it well with his own knowledge which shows that he is actually smart but then when it comes to exam he doesn't always do well.

I can totally relate with this.
Thank you so much for your contribution 😊

most students are smarth as they have very sharp brain and a good methods of fast thinking, but some are just too bad. they cant do without the help of other students.

Not just other students, they need help from their teachers as well.

If you can’t keep the names or spellings of something at least you can recognize them, that should count for something

You are truly right. Some children are born smart from some syndromes which can never be taken away from them.

Yeah, there was one I do follow on TikTok some time ago, at 1 year, this child could literally do every simple mathematical calculations and even some complex ones.

That’s just how this era will continue to develop children. We hope for the best from it.

Enjoy your week sis 🥰

Educational system is to know their students capacities and help them become the best

This is Definitely what I was looking for our Educational system lack, Talent and Capacity Development

Indeed students can make a good start with opportunities easily available on the internet. Technology is ready to make students more smarter as there are robots available. @hopestylist I hope your kids will be smarter in studies and learning what you will gift them 😂.

I liked the place you give to teamwork. Surely during the classes there will be opportunities for the teacher to evaluate how each student performs with another, seeking to prepare them for the workplace. Regards @hopestylist

Yeah, for the few times that was done in my school, I could see everyone trying to get their hands on deck and it was beautiful.

It’s a pleasure having you stop by ❤️

It hurts me when it seems as if we are forced to study and pass examinations on something that we are not good at. Well, it's a good in some sense, it makes us explore and build capacity in those aspects yet, I think it would have been best if we are scrutinized and trained based on what we know and have interest on.

Many people today are just cramming to pass and not learning. Instead of allowing us discover ourselves, we are constraint to practice and become what others laid down. It's so annoying.

Sadly that’s how the world we live in works. Hopefully things will get better with time

You touched it all. We are different and we all have where we are good at. School it totally different from the real world. The La cram La Pour is not what will be asked in the real life. There are lot more to just sit and pass examinations.

Just like yesterday in school, during their quiz and debate session, imagine making students rack their brains to solve maths questions and then giving them just 18 seconds to do that? That's too small a time and those questions were hard to just use your brain to do the calculation instead of using calculator that could be more efficient. I laughed when they were asked to give an answer in fraction with big numbers, how on earth are they supposed to do that?

The educational system still depends on the old way of approaching problems when we now have technological devices to make it faster and efficient for us. Every student aren't the same when it comes to their mental ability but the system wants you to be up and doing with just your brain and working hard when you can work smart with the application of teamwork and technology.

Funny enough there are some humans that can pull that stunt but it is not the normal. Because one child can do it, they automatically think the rest are capable too which is absolutely ridiculous.

Thank you for leaving your thoughtful contribution mama 🥰

The best of society lies in the best of education & students. I hope each nation takes it seriously and reaps its benefits too.
