DON'T RUN FACE IT

Is it possible to get use to being rejected that you no longer feel rejected? Well I think that's the situation I am now so don't feel bad at all when you reject me, lolz. Rejection is something that I have faced almost every time and every day, it's very normal to me now and I just have to deal with it all the time that I can even know when I will be rejected. I have grown to be a very enduring person because I just have to, if not I will fall into depression and I can't do that too also.
20220723_162034_0000.png
The first time I ever faced rejection was when I was a child, I was just four years old then, although I was not the only one rejected, my siblings included. We had to face our first ever rejection from our mother the day she left us without saying goodbye. I was very worried when she left because I was not sure what plans life has for us. Facing such rejection at that young age made me learn how to be independent though dependent, I hope you understand what I mean. I knew things was not going to be the same after that day so I always try to be cheerful and hardworking so I can assist myself and my family.

I was so sad my mum left us and even more sad because she thought me that rejection existed but wait... I'm happy she was the one that thought me that because now I easily know when I'm being rejected and I know my way out. I find rejection to be very interesting really, because I've seen how it makes most people become a better version of themselves while some get doomed after being rejected, too bad. The fact that we get rejected doesn't makes us less good or more bad, no, it only tells us that we have more steps to take and until we take those steps we will keep getting rejections.
20220723_162034_0000.png
The kind of rejection I got was very unique because it came in an unusual way because I did not get to ask why, I just had to accept it the way I saw it. Even as a child then, I knew that I had to be strong and be better no matter what and also I have to be there for my dad and my siblings. The truth is, the only way I really got to face rejection was that I accepted it and I knew I was not the one who has been rejected.

Know this, rejection will always come, so when it comes don't feel too disappointed because you know it was going to come and as you prepare your mind to accept these rejections know that it's just for the better even though it comes from the one you trust or love the most. Also when you are rejected don't let it affect who you are because that is what will help you overcome your hurt in the end.

Like I said from the start, I don't want you to feel bad when you reject me, in fact I should be thankful to you for rejecting me because I know I will gain more in the long run if I don't faint, hehe. Yes I do cry and breakdown when I'm rejected but I only do that because I'm human after all, I'm not a demigod or something but I do know that I'm not letting that affect me negatively because I know these things happen.

I'm so grateful to you for reading to this point, I hope now you know the rejection I faced and how I overcame it. I also hope you get to learn something from me today and I will also love to learn from you as well, so feel free to leave your comments below 👇.

You're strong, very I must add. I can't say I know what it feels like for a parent to leave but I've seen the effect it has had on my friend. This is a common what doesn't kill you makes you stronger kind of situation. Cheers to becoming stronger Hope.

Eyahhh! That's so bad! But it's good that you and your siblings were able to cope.

Once we survive from the trauma of rejection, we become finer and stronger to withstand some obstacles of life. What doesn't kill a man, makes her stronger

The truth is you got me so emotional while reading, I almost dropped tears and started feeling bad but then I saw the topic; don't run face it and I gathered myself together.

I tried to provide answer to the first question you asked and uptil now I can't get one, is it possible to get used to rejection? That sounds rhetorical to me because no matter how much we get used to it, it can still take us by surprise and leave us wounded afterwards. There are times rejection comes when we least expected it anything that comes by surprise can't be stopped but managed. It is just left for us to learn how to handle it. Maybe expecting it anyday and anytime just like you can go a long way to help us.

It is true that rejection comes with two things one is to make us better , the second is to damage us but we can't get the two , we have to decide and pick one. The way we take it when it hits us is what will determine which one we get.

It feels o bad that mom had to leave that early, I mean four years, You were still a child but you know what you were not an ordinary child, you were a destiny child. Growing up with such pains can make many go into bad stuffs, but you decided to make ends met the legal way even while tender, that was very brave of you.

I didn't make a wrong choice of mom🥰💖. Better days are ahead, this is just the beginning. No matter your achievements now, I want you to know that, it is just the starting point, just never give up, and continue working hard. Soon the day will break forth. It will be a blast, trust me.

No dear, you don't have to feel bad at all, I'm so happy I get to overcome that rejection somehow and I just don't want anyone to feel sad, I had to say it because I needed to.

I know rejection is what will surely come to me so I just accept it no matter how hurt I feel.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words sweetie, I will keep on going no matter what, you are a darling really.

A strong woman indeed. I'm sorry you're parent left you and I really don't have an explanation as to why but I do know this...look at the person you've become, you're not defined by rejection and that shows strength.

You have managed to turn the events into your own power, you truely are an inspiration.

Thank you so much for your kind words dear, I'm so happy you stopped by. Truly we shouldn't let our mistakes define us and use that as a yardstick not to be the best version of ourselves.

This is huge, your mom rejecting you only made you stronger and you getting the best of yourself after the rejection is something you should be proud of.

Rejection is not the end of the world and many people find it difficult to get over it because of the negative mindset they have fed their soul at the point of rejection.

Yes I knew I had to let go of the hurt and become better and it's also a good thing that I was still very small then and that also helped my healing process.

Being rejected does not mean we are less of ourselves, it only means we still have more to add to ourselves.

Thank you so much for coming through with this beautiful comment, I'm really grateful dear.

Hmmmm I will not lie to you my dear, do you know while reading this post I was battling with some questions within myself, it sounds crazy because it's written in here but I am still contemplating it because I actually saw sth similar in your sister's post thereabout but aside that I think you have come to develop yourself to the highest point where you are now the source of hope to everyone around you ...

I guess the rejection you had from childhood 🤔 made you much stronger and braver because you were taught how to prepare for the future without Having to depend on others and making sure your name brings you strength... I think I have come to understand how well you built yourself to rejection because any rejection means you have to go back to prepare and there fore they are at loss...

Thank you for this beautiful post, I am proud of you dear friend 💕

I know what questions might be in your mind and yes and no to them, lolz, just take it as you see it my dear but don't hate my mom for anything though because she has her reasons for doing what she did.

Indeed, the rejection I faced at that age really made me to be a fighter and I justu love who I've become and I know I won't have been who I am now if I did not face that rejection then.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your beautiful comment dear, I'm really grateful for your continuous care dear.

Same with me too... I feel rejected when my mom died five years ago but look at me today, it groomed me into becoming a better person and to be independent so I wouldn't have to be a burden to the rest of the family. It taught me a real lesson and I appreciate the fact I am who I am today, not because she is gone but that I could really get to see who I truly am and to become a better version of who I used to be.

I hope you continue to remain independent while releasing some burdens off your family, especially your Dad.

Getting rejected is normal but accepting and moving on after this rejection isn't manageable. You have raised yourself from this crucial time might because you were accompanied by your siblings hmm but still if you would shatter at that time might I couldn't see the powerful Hope writing this post. I've previously read the story of how your mom left you all and how she returned to your life now as adults (in both yours and @merit.ahama's posts). It is one of the hardest things for a child to endure - the loss of a parent - either to death or through their leaving. I saw what it did to some of my cousins when my uncle left them. Truly heartbreaking to see the relationships that are damaged and sacrificed. I really do hope that this feeling of rejection doesn't follow you around forever. You know now that your mom was struggling at the time; it was never about you personally and I truly could not imagine anyone rejecting you and your beautiful heart. Sending big loves !LUV !ALIVE !hivebits
